brrr cold mornings. wish i could stop winter from coming or move where its warmer. any normal day i would cut off a hand or so to stay in bed, but in the cold, probably an arm! ugh



larry has talked to me most nights for awhile now when i feed b4 his shot. 1 quick meow. so cute bc he isnt a vocal kitty. tonight he let out the loudest squeak i have heard from him! hilarious! i wish i had it recorded. :)

Oh don't I know it. I love fall for the pretty colors and well Football season...lol But also hate it because it is the first step to winter..As a kid I never got the whole SnowBird thing but with each passing birthday I'm getting it more and more. Nebraska has glorious springs and summers most year that I wouldn't trade but so could do with out our winters and the severe weather in fall. Last night we got hit with a Hailstorm that made it look like it was snowing out, and the entire town flooded because the hail was plugging up the storm drains with the same storm dropping an inch and a half of rain with the hail. Not big hail about pea to marble but tons of it.

With as cool and wet of a summer and starting fall we are having I dread this winter...Might need to teach the fur gang to pull a sled...anyone know where to get a cat sled? since I only have 1 drooler can't use a dog sled or at least can't call it one...lol

its awful! if i could afford a heating bill to keep it warm enuf and wasnt the only supplier of everything for the family (furkids and me) i would jst mostly stay in and suk it up. i have an old cold house tho, poor insulation. last winter i sat on the couch in like 3 layers of lothes, under a blanket and shook while i felt the breeze blow in here! its that cold. and still outrageous bills! grrr i dnt wna go thru it again. i said i wdnt this winter, but cdnt figure how/where to move bc of so many pets....most wont rent with 7 animals and evn if they did i cdnt figure where id get help moving or anything. long story short, i cdnt figure it out so im still here, praying we survive another winter! all that freezing and shaking makes muscles contract and increases pain also. ok, so enuf of that.
ty for the humor mel, i appreciate it! im sad, and it does help to smile some.
oh, and mel, did u read ellen degeneres book, i think the first one? theres a great story abt her teaching cats, etc to pull a sled! funny.

No I haven't but I do like Ellen as a stand up comedian so I'm sure I would love her books. I still remember her talking about waking up thinking she was having a heart attack only to realize it was her 20lb cat standing on her chest and shoulder. And then going on to talk about how one cat was mad for eating rubber band and then of course throwing them back up. She was "You'd think after the first 300s times he ate a rubber band and puked he'd get the message..rubber band = puke...but oh no not him..he's a dim kitty" lol You can tell she truly loves her cats unlike some celebraties that have pets as fashion accessories.

hmm, do u know what that was called or when it was? ive seen a couple of her live shows on YT or bak on vcr days, but nvr her tlaking about the cats? on standup. and yea i know dry food is bad, but the fact she made halo is pretty impressive. i wish i could afford the wet halo. she talks abt the cats on the show some. portia said when ellen comes home she feeds the cats b4 anything else! even if portia has a nice dinner waiting, ellen wont eat til she feeds the cats. ha

I saw her live at a place called the Comedy Shop when I was still living in Denver. She was hysterical especially if you were owned by cats. The other bit from that show was her talking about how cats are sooooo not helpful when you think you hear a strange noise at night, because instead of going What? Oh mom that's a tree branch on the window go to sleep like a dog, the cat sits up in bed and does the WTF was that? Bet its someone coming to kill us, quick hide my food...roflmao.
