Not sure what to make of this? A "broken kitty"??? He is still blah. Although he is eating, but very little a few times during the day. Moving very slow, no fast running or jumping.

Interesting....Trix did something similar when she had p-titis last April and is therefore a very unusual/nontraditional OTJ kitty. Between the greens and his lack of strong appy, I would continue to hold off on the juice for now, but also continue testing as you are to keep tabs on things. And continue to test for ketones as you can, too.

Poor Doodle! What did the vet say is wrong with him? How were his lab results?

I agree with Amy....and I'd try to get as much food and water in him as you can. Keep testing ketones daily because he can develop them if he has an infection. Don't let low numbers make you think he can't develop ketones....because he can.

Sending healing vines for him, Jenn.

Wow, Doodle sure came down the dosing scale quickly! Totally a cat on a mission. It does sound reminiscent of Trixie, so I wonder if it is P-titis? Super interesting if it is and we have another kitty going OTJ as a result of that!

I hope you get some answers soon. Meanwhile, sending appy and feel better vines.

labs were fine other than elevated white blood cell count. he did have a fever of 103. Definitely some sort of infection? Vet didn't really have a diagnosis. His glucose on the labs was only 211. He is basically back to normal now other than diarrhea but to be honest I think he has IBD/IBS. When I first got him he had poops like Tidus did and they smell HORRIBLE! Usually a mixture of liquid and poop. Then it got to be firm, now is just liquid but only going once a day. He is a stressed out kitty. Moving cages in the apartment set him off so bad when I first got him that he stopped eating for 3 days! If someone comes over he runs away and hides. All very different behavior from when he was in the shelter. He was the cat that would come to greet you when you walked into the room.
