I almost didnt want to post this because it seems like as soon as I post how good he's doing it jinxes it and he bounces.
*fingers crossed*

His numbers are looking better though! yay!

He did wake us up at +8 last night with a big howl. I jumped out of bed and tested his BG quickly and it was 104. I dont know what that howl was all about. It was definitely a "something is wrong" howl. Hairball? I gave him some coconut oil and tried unsuccessfully to go back to sleep. No more howling since then. He hit some nice green numbers after that and has stayed in the blues.....so far *fingers crossed again*

Is it possible he was just hungry and howling for food? Or maybe just wanted you to wake up to check on him.

Hope Crushy continues with some nice numbers today.

Hope you have a great day Michele

it didnt sound like an "Im hungry" howl.... This sounded more upset or uncomfortable. And he jumped off the bed and faced the wall for a second. I distracted him from whatever was upsetting him by petting him and he acted surprised to see me up so I dont think it was directed at me to get attention. And when I gave him his treat after the BG test he didnt seem particularly ravenous. Im going to go with hairball until I know better. Ive heard that howl right before he yaks up a hairball before. Ill watch him though.

thanks!

Jamie's asking that because Jupiter has been insisting lately on being checked up on frequently ;-)

The coconut oil is a good idea. Does Crushy enjoy it? I bought a big jar of it for myself and was happy to find out that it's good for cats as well.

maybe he was dreaming something upsetting. mine definitely dream - i see their little feet twitching and jaws chomping. anya (civvie) has even cried out in her sleep.
