10/19 Tibbs amps 455 pmps 454 yuck

Okay its time to get hard core on this boy! First things first. How are teeth and any chance of a possible infection brewing somewhere?
If not, here's the game plan. If taking him up by smaller steps doesn't help, then every 5-7 days he goes up by .5 until we see blue, then hold and just grit your teeth and ride out the bounces. If he doesn't stop bouncing fairly quickly then it might be time to look at switching him to a different insulin because right now, Lantus is like shooting water with him.

As we discovered with Sunny, her persistent high values were likely being caused by an infection - I'd definitely recommend that you get Tibbsey checked out to be sure the same isn't the case with him. I really wish I'd followed by gut and asked to get Sunny re-checked for possible infection before she got to such a bad point.

he was checked for infections and teeth are good but that doesn't mean something is still not up with him. i increased 1.5fat and will go up in tiny steps every 6 cycles. yeah he's making me crazy. his 5p's are great. u would never know he was sick. playing like a crazy man. Boy, I feel your pain. I am so sorry about the mystery of Tibbs and his high numbers. Noodle had a rocky weekend. Couldn't get his scheduled dental on Fri. because of diarrhea. Vet have him BioMox which caused vomiting, and his AMPS yesterday was 515, the highest ever. Just about gave me a heart attack. He is back in the mid-300s today and has a vet appt. tomorrow to get to the bottom of the infection issue. Like you, I just can't understand why Noodle doesn't show the good response many lucky people on the forum do. I guess I should be thankful for some yellows :? But Noodle is on a MUCH higher dose than Tibbs too. He seemed to FEEL and ACT better when he was up around 300! Weird! Anyway, paws crossed for Tibbs. This sugar dance is making me feel old before my time!
