GA 10/19 Tess is Flying Free

Tess has been Hi all day , the R won't bring her down. I just upped it to .5u.

We took her to the ER this afternoon, she is very constipated and was straining exhausting herself. She had lost half a pound in the last 2 weeks and they said she was ver emaciated and dehydrated, in spite of the squids and all the water she has been drinking. They thought she should be let go, right there and then. John and I sat and talked and decided we needed time to say good bye to her.

When we got home we let Tess wander pretty much as she wanted, more exercise than she had had in 2 weeks. Although she tried again several time still no poo. Then she settled for a nap on the warm flagstone in the back yard and we stayed w/ her.

We will call Dr. S first thing in the morning. We can't let her go on like this. We wanted to give her a chance to beat this last episode, but she seems to be getting worse not better. If Dr. S agrees that we are just prolonging her life and no hope of recovery, then we will let Tess go tomorrow after a last day in the sun.

Thank you to everyone who has been sending vines. This was just one fight to many for our brave little girl.

My heart is breaking as I read your condo. I'm going to pray for a miracle all night, but I know if that isn't meant to be, you will do what is best for your dear Tess. Enjoy your evening and night together. I know it will be bittersweet. You will all be in my thoughts.

Oh no, it is as we feared seeing no condo today. Our hearts are breaking for our Zener's bestie Ms T and her beloved beans. What can one say at such a time to help? Wishing you a beautiful sunny day full of warmth, peace and love. There are no better beans than you both and you have fought the long fight as a team. We are sending hugs and love to you all through this next stage of the journey. Our hearts are so heavy as we say goodbye to another of our Zener's long time friends.

I am so sorry to read this, but I am glad you brought her home today and I hope you were able to take in every single minute of the day with her. We don't know what tomorrow will bring, but whatever happens, you will be in my heart and prayers.

My heart breaks for you as I read this condo. Tess is one of those kitties that has just always kept keepin' on.

Prayers that today is a better day for Tess.
 
Thank you everyone who have sent prayers and vines for Tess. She is Flying Free now, no more pain, no more pokies, no more fuds she really didn't want to eat. The change in her in just a few days made it clear that it was time. Yesterday when we made the decision to take her home to say good bye, she seemed to relax right at the ER. Tess had a last beautiful afternoon in the sun and today we had one last morning with her in the garden. She was released from her failed little body while I held her in the sun.

Yo Rusty! thank you for coming to drive me to the Bridge, I know the Furrari will be safe in your paws! Don't forget to give the keys to the bus to Bug and Lola, they is old enough now and it is the purrfect catering truck!

Oooooooo, I see my best buddy Mannie, and Stu and Zener and Binksey and C.D. and Bear Man and Checkers and Maggie and Leo and ……… and …………and ………… they is all here and they looks sooooooooo good! I has missed them all so much! Mannie and I can plays Titanic again! And now the Bridge has a Pastry Chef too!

Thank you all for the vines that made such a soft bed and soothed me over the last days! I will see you all again on the next Full Moon and sing to you with the Celestial Chorus!

There are some of our LL kitties (and beans) who make a lasting impression and I am in tears as if that kitty is one of my own. Maybe because they are part of the cohort who came to LL at about the same time as Gabby or because we have shared so much. For me,Tess is one of those kitties. I know she will be forever in your heart. I suspect she will have left her paw prints on more hearts than just yours and John's. This is the fable that WCF once shared with me about why we choose tears. It is more elegant than I could ever be.

Fly free Tess and land softly. There are many of our kitties at the Bridge waiting to keep you company and to keep you safe and happy until you are reunited with the ones you love best.

There are so many tears of sadness. I somehow thought this day would never come, though I knew in my heart it would be sooner than any of us wanted. Tess has made a lasting impression on my heart, one that will always remain there. I shall miss her more than words can say. There are so many wonderful memories of days gone by, with Stu, Bear Man, Binksie, Maggie, Tori, all of them... and well, Mannie. I have to admit that when I read the part about Tess and Mannie playing Titanic once again, well, I lost it then. What wonderful memories. I hope they will sustain you. Hugs to you both. Fly Free Tess, and softly at the bridge. I know Mannie is there waiting for you...

It's been almost 6 years since we all arrived at the board in January 2010. You have been such great friends, such knowledgeable beans, and your love and devotion to Tess shine though every condo you have posted over the years. Now your girl is flying free on her beautiful new golden wings. We grieve with you tonight. Fly free, dear Tess, we know that you will send your mamabean and papabean a sign that you have arrived safely at the Bridge and that all your old friends are there to greet you.

((Ann & John))) Oh I can hardly believe that sweet Tess is flying free now. I'm so sad for you both. Yes, Tess did make a lasting impression on so many of us as Gabby stated above, I mean Sienne. I was following your condo and hoping Tess would rally, but it was time and she showed you that she was ready. You can be sure there will big party at the Bridge to welcome and guide Tess. Fly free sweet Tess and send your Momma and Dad a sign that you are okay. Hugs and prayers.
 
(((Ann and John))) ...dear friends. We've all been here a long time together. I, like Michelle and Sienne, have such a special place in my heart for all those kitties that came here about the same time as us....but Tess....so close to my heart always and forever and Gracie's best gal pal. So many great memories of the fun days in LL when you all got us through with the laughs. The three amigos...Mannie, Tess, and Gracie...racing to the lagoon together or pulling on the ropes to get each other out of the stratosphere. Dives and surfs. The summer they all spent guarding the catnip patch and grilling lizards. Tess's amazing sense of fashion and her furrari......oh and how she could make those pastries. And now Tess is finally off the juice.....There's a big party in LL Heaven today and everyone...including all our civvies....will be there to welcome her.

Surf it one more time, KK, all the way through the veil to peace.

So very sorry to read this this morning. I'm so glad you got to spend her last day at home with her, and that she left you in the sunshine. It is a very sad day for so many of us who came on here about the same time. We grieve all over again when another one who taught us so much crosses to join those who have gone ahead.cat_wings>o

Word has spread fast across the rainbow bridge and all the GA kitties are on the run to greet Tess. It will be a joyous reunion there and a sad goodbye here tonight. Thank you Ms T, Ann and John for all you taught us to help us give our special boy extra time with us. The mighty Zener will be so happy to greet his special gal pal. And we will cry tears of sadness for your loss. Fly freely Ms T, land softly.
