Good Morning and Happy Friday, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night and has a reasonable AMPS number. He had a good test and shot, enjoyed the first sitting of Wellness Turkey for breakfast, enjoyed a look around the garden (it is drizzling, but quite mild this morning), enjoyed the second sitting of breakfast, and now is chillaxin' in his little bed by the radiator (which is not on this morning).

Rusty did so well yesterday breaking that bounce and recovering from the fur shots. I hope that he can stay on track now.

Today will be a day of chores. I'm cooking lentils for a vegetarian lentil loaf that I will make for dinner. Laundry is in the machine. I have to go shopping later (we have a mountain-club chapter monthly potluck this Sunday and our part of the alphabet is responsible for bringing main dishes). I'm planning to make chicken paprikás from my favorite cookbook: Jay F. Rosenberg, "The Impoverished Students' Book of Cookery, Drinkery, and Housekeepery" (Portland, Oregon: 1965), p. 16.

TGIF everyone. Thinking of Claudia, Darren and their boys, Rocket and Comet. Sending healing vines to all who can use some.

Nice start for Rusty today! It definitely looks like he is back on track.

Enjoy your chore day. The lentil loaf sounds yummy. I love chicken paprikás and am always looking for a better recipe. Can you message it to me sometime or I will try and find the cookbook?

Hi guys .. it's nice to see rusty back on track .. I hope he can stay on track now too ... Seems like every morning for the past week we've had nothing but drizzle .. I hope we both get some sunshine soon .. Have fun shopping for your potluck dinner .. have a great weekend!

Hi Ella, so good to hear Rusty is getting back on track. Nice blue AMPS there for Rusty. I think you and I take turns with the fur shots. Today I think I had a bubble. :? It sounds like some really good meals at your house, especially the vegetarian lentil loaf and also chicken paprikas. Have a nice day.

Sounds like a perfect for getting stuff don, maybe that's my problem, not enough rainy days here! :roll: :lol:

Rusty is looking good this morning, he's in just the right spot to head back to the Lagoon.

Oh, I'm jealous of Rusty's amps. What lovely way to start the day. Safe and healthy, so you can get things done, and he's happy.

We need a recipe forum on here. Oh wait....there is...Loose Lips. You make the yummiest sounding goodies. Both the lentil dish and the chicken paprikash. I don't know why I have cookbooks, I never bother, since I'm alone.

It's a glorious day here. Chilly, but super sunny. I hope yours turns the same. Gonna get warm again next week Yay!
Oh wait....yer in the mountains. Hmmm.

Rusty started out well this morning, but took a wrong turn. Made appt. with the vettybean for next Tuesday afternoon for bloodwork, urinalysis, and possibly the spec fPL. It's been over 6 months since Rusty's pancreatitis and I think it's time to do the blood and urine profiles again. I want to make sure that his inconsistent cycles are not because something may be brewing.

Rusty brought himself back down to where he was at AMPS. Interesting.

Lentil-walnut loaf a success. (Thank you for the Laurel's cookbook, Claudia! [cjleo, Rusty's foster mom]).

Not a bad day for the Russ man, nice and blue! I hope you accomplished all your rainy day tasks. Have you gotten snow yet?

Ella, if that is the same recipe as on Spark People, it's really an ambitious undertaking. It sounds delicious!

You gotta really like cooking. If it has more than 5 ingredients, I'm too lazy. :-D

I hope everything goes well with the vet appointment next Tuesday and you can find out if there is something going on with Rusty. I hope you had a good dinner tonight.

The Lentil-walnut loaf is an easy recipe with about 6 ingredients. I don't do difficult cooking!! Mostly I just throw stuff together.

Interesting wander Rusty did today - glad he's back where he started. The lentil recipe sounds good, we don't eat them much, just usually on New Year's Day. I hope all goes well with Rusty. It seems like there are just vet appointments one after the other, right? Have a good night!

Rusty's got the blues! Paws crossed his bloodwork and vetty visit are good!
