(sorry for dual posting)

Good morning,
Don't know the next time I will be posting, as I did the 'night thing' tonight. What a 3-ring circus that was(is)! Missy's brother, Phoenix, is jealous of her getting all the attention and is stalking her, right now. He is downright MEAN, sometimes. grr_red I have been trying to keep him off her all night. I can barely wait for daylight so I can kick him outside.
My iPad won't let me update her SS, so here are her numbers......not much of a "curve" at all. Barely a response, it seems. Don't really know what to make of it..
Yesterday:
AMPS 306
+3.5= 319
+ 6.5=304
PMPS=328
+ 2.5=332
+4=340
+6=302

Don't know if I will get another test in before AMPS, but will try.

Interpretations, anyone? I think it looks pretty safe to take her to 4.5 units.....but I am not thinking real straight, right now.
Thanks
Mares and Miss

I don't have any dosing advice, but can sure sympathize with those flat curves.

Phoenix, you're in trouble boy! Best make nice. Purr, purr!

Hi guys .. boy I wish I knew the answers for you on that curve .. Curves were never really my thing .. I never understood them! I just hope missy comes down off that pink floor for you .. and phoenix, no need to be jealous .. your beanz loves you all the same .. have a great day guys!

Hi Mares - I'm not experienced enough to answer your dosing question, but I would suggest noting in your subject line that you do have a question about dose. That way, the more experienced eyes will know you need some help.

Poor Pheonix...maybe he needs some treats at Missy's pokey time, too!

Have a good, restful day!

Amy

Yeah, Phoenix was SO lucky last night. grumpy_cat I would have thrown him outside, but I don't want him to get ate by coyotes....there were times when I considered it, though.
I don't know what to think of her "curve" either. In one way, I see it could be good....she is maintaining a even keel, but I don't like the color pink. I should have gotten one at + 8 and + 10, but I just couldn't deal with Phoenix again. She dipped to 289, so she went lower..and I don't know how much, but I really doubt it was in the greens.

Oh....and bratty brother does get treats at pokey time. I sprinkle the freeze dried chicken on his food while Miss and I test. The little pig licks it off and the comes over to try to steal some while I am occupied! Then, when he realizes he is not getting more, he goes back to his bowl and finishes his breakfast or dinner. None of it would bother me, but after it is all over, he jumps her.....all teeth and claws, fur literally flying. She is so sweet....I wish she would body slam a good one!

Hello!
Great job on the overnigiht testing, it really helps to paint a better picture of what's going on.

Mares, is your goal remission (if possible) ?
Do you think you can manage at least 1 mid cycle PM test each night?
If need be, could you manage another night like last night from time to time?

She is what we call "flat". Also, you are using the AlphaTrak, which reads higiher, by 30, than a human glucometer.
So here is the picture after the math:
AMPS - 276
+3.5 - 289
+6.5 - 274
PMPS - 298
+2.5 - 302
+4 - 310
+6 - 272
(Yellow is yellow!)

It may be a good idea to indicate you use the Alpha Trak by placing an identifier in you condo header each day. Something like "10/19 Missy AMPS 276 AT" . that alerts folks that they have to subtract 30 from all the numbers.

Sandy and Black Kitty,
Thanks for checking us out! Yes, I would LOVE to work towards remission, although my main goal is just for her to feel good. It was so nice when she was in remission, just to see how much more active and better she felt. She even swatted her brother and punk'd him out a few times  . I loved seeing that.
I am not positive I can do a mid cycle every night, but I certainly will try. I don't feel as bad as I expected, today. But I was cranky with DH and haven't gotten much accomplished. I will put effort into getting PM numbers, though.
I feel so much better now that she seems to be perking up. I need to go get a +4 right now, though, since I did the increase. Fingers crossed!! But, hypo kit close at hand.
Miss and I appreciate the the interest and thoughts.
Mares

glad to see you're getting some input from a wise one...

sending hopes that Missy comes down...
and a cheer for you for surviving the late night...
Binks wants you to know his human's reaction to late nights was crawling into bed and ignoring him for 14 hours
