10/19- Lucky

Ugh. Things are still looking pretty crappy. Numbers are still too high throughout the day. I'm still trying the sliding scale but PS's are always in the low 400's, high 300's and occasional mid 300's so the dose hasn't changed too much.

I thought this morning might have been a bounce so I lowered to a f1.2 on a 445 PS. I'm thinking I should have gone higher after seeing the numbers for the cycle. Or maybe I should have gone lower? I have no idea. This whole thing still has me thoroughly confused. Dose too high, dose too low, etc.

Anyone want to look at his SS and the last few days and let me know what you think?

Help me remember. Are you using a sliding scale? Looking at the ss, it does look like your doses have been lower lately for some of the same numbers you had earlier.

Ok, new scale. This one is much more aggressive since the last one isn't giving you the results we were hoping for.

over 400 - 1.5u
over 300 - 1.4u
250 to 229 - 1.3u
225 to 249 - 1.2u
200 to 224 - 1.1u


This scale is for Lucky only bases on his responses to previous doses.

Yes, I started using the sliding scale on Sunday I believe. I was going to note it on his SS but forgot!

Thank you! So looking at his response to my dose reduction trial around 9/24, do you think a higher dose is better? It just baffles me that a .80 dose can bring a 420 PS down into the blues! PS's were lower but over all #'s weren't that great. And if you look at 9/15, it's hard to ignore that BG spike with a 1.4 dose on a red PS. I'm afraid of wonky things like that happening again and I'm just not sure what to think about it.

I will start the new scale in the morning and see if it makes things any better. Will update when I get some good info to share! Fingers crossed!!

It's all trial and error. You got the same response on 9/26 on .8u as you did on 9/28 with 1.2u but the next day on 9/29 with a lower PS and a f1.2u it looks like it was too much.

So we try a more aggressive scale to see if we can get Lucky responding a little better. If we don't get some better results we can try lowering the scale a little more. I just hate seeing him with all those reds.

True, true. That's the whole point of trying this! I feel like he needed a higher dose but then the spikes make me think I need to back off.

What's funny though, is often when he's high and flat all day, his PS's are lower than ever. When he sees blues his PS is higher because he bounces. Wish he would stop bouncing I'll start a new thread to update for today.
