Good Morning LL,

I am back from work and with my kitty :-D We both had a good week, Leo was a very good boy according to his DGP's. I guess he was out mousing the other night and finally came in at 10:00 in the evening with a mouse, brought it in to show off and was busy meowing to his DGma, probably telling her all about how he caught the mouse when his brother Toban swooped in and stole his mouse from right under him and ate him!!!! :lol: Poor Leo, i guess he turned around and looked down and his mouse was gone, he looked everywhere for it. :lol: :lol:

Leo continues to be very fussy with his fuds and has been eating MC food all week, and my petfooddirect order still hasn't come in! :roll: It's been over a month :evil: My brother killed a deer earlier this week and left it hanging in my parents garage, DGpa has been feeding Leo deer meat all week and he absolutely loves it! I just tried to go cut Leo a slab and couldn't do it, its like the deer was looking at me! :shock: I chickened out! :lol:

We have a 3 month post SRT vetty checkup this morning, so Leo needs to go in to get his blood taken, plus a checkup as well. We go in at +4, so we'll update everyone once we get home.

Hi guys, so good to see a condo from you! Awww, poor leo .. can't believe his brother snatched the mouse right out from under him! Wow, a month since your order was placed and it's still not in? That's crazy .. I don't blame you on chickening out about the deer .. no one in our family is a hunter, my DBIL was, and one time I opened up his fridge and found a squirrel tacked down to a styrofoam plate .. let me tell you what, I never once opened their fridge again .... Good luck at the vets and have a great weekend!

Hi Tracy, I sure do enjoy reading your condo and the adventures of Leo when staying at DGPa and DGMa's house. Poor :lol: Leo with his bro stealing his fresh catch! Oh my, with cutting a slab of the deer! I grew up in rural PA and remember those days of deer hunting. Good vetty vines coming your way.

I had to chuckle at the image of Leo looking all over for his mouse while Toban's off in a corner having a snack! I hope Toban properly thanked Leo.

I'm sure all will go well at the vet appt.

BTW, my sister said her friend is settling in and so far, is liking her move to your neck of the woods.

Hey Leo, Your brother stole your mousie? BUMMER! I hope you can steal his catch as payback! Your DGPa gives you venison? You are a lucky kitty! I would like to try venison, but my mamabean says we have to leave our deer family alone!

Welcome home. I hope that you will have a good follow-up vetty visit. Leo is doing so well. Can you get EVO where you live? They have 96% venison. I wonder why it takes so long for an order from PetFoodDirect? Does it take that long to clear customs? Maybe those inspectors are sampling the fuds!

Oscar brought a bird in the garage the other day and was tossing it around playing with it when Cleetus came over to have a look at what he was doing. Oscar grabbed the bird and ran back outside, with Cleetus hot on his heels! :lol:

We are back from the vet, Leo did wonderfully! Dr. Andrea and vet tech Chrissy just couldn't believe how well behaved he was during his checkup and bloodwork. He even got his bum shaved, because we are always dealing with poo in the fur back there. They gave him some higher carb treats, greenies i think so i'm not surprised by the 272. Andrea commented that Leo looks quite a bit smaller in his face and also looks like he's lost weight, she said his nose isn't as big as it was the last time she saw him. I told her that he no longer snores when he's sleeping and doesn't eat as much as he used to.

We walked in the door at home and our petfooddirect order was sitting on the step!!! So now Leo has 7 cases of new FF fuds to eat and he started off by eating some yummy FF beef and liver. Life is good :-D

Great news on the Vetty Visit and even better the the fuds finally arrived! At least from leo's point of view. :lol: :lol:

When we are with them every day sometimes we don't notice those changes.

Welcome Home. Glad to hear Leo is doing well. His brother better watch out. Leo is going get him when he least expects it. Good news on the vet visit as well.

Are you getting a complete blood test done, or just the T4? I'll have to schedule ours in a few weeks too. And no "aggressive cat" charge this time? Good Leo. cat_pet_icon I notice Neko isn't snoring anymore either, but I wish I could say her appetite is reduced. It is interesting that the soft tissue changes are noticeable already. That's a great sign.

I hope he likes his new selection of fuds. My kits both love their raw venison. It's one of the more expensive raw foods, so tell Leo he is getting fine dining with that deer.

Hi Tracy,

I'm glad Leo's vet visit went so well! Great news! It's funny that you didn't notice some of the changes. That makes it even more fun to get the report.

I wonder why your order took so long? I order from them all the time and get Racci's food in one or two days usually as long as there isn't a weekend involved. Maybe they had a backorder to wait for. I'm glad it finally arrived.

I hope Leo keeps improving!

Thanks Ann and Shannan for stopping by! Believe it or not this is not the first time Toban has stolen a mouse from Leo, i watched it happen once this summer as well, but Leo watched his brother take his mouse and didn't say a word. That was back in the day of 4 mousies a day for Leo, so if he missed eating 1 it was no big deal.

Oh and i forgot to tell everyone that Leo caught a shrew this week too, i have no idea what they look like but my mother said it was a shrew because it had a really long snout and was smaller than a mouse.

Wendy, i tried to email Dr. Timian but no response.....i remembered she wanted T4 tested and Dr. Andrea and i figured we may as well test for absolutely everything this time. And no, no aggressive cat charge this time, he was as sweet as sweet can be i guess :lol: Its been over a month i've noticed the soft tissue changes in his face, i want to say it started happening around the same time he came flying down the dose ladder.
