On work call and couldn't get way to ttestCharlie. He's at 48. Rubbed maple syrup on gums, and left him devouring his regular LC. Should I feel HC?

Don't feed too much. You'll want him to stay hungry in case you need to feed more. Give him a teaspoon of HC and test again in 20 min.

Thanks Carla! Gave him the tsp and tested, even though not 20 min since HC, but it's been 15 since last test. He's at 55.

How long since the syrup? It tends to wear off fast, so hopefully the HC kicks in for next test and is enough to keep above 50.

He could still go back down once the syrup and HC wears off. I'd feed another teaspoon of HC and test again in 30 min.

Okay...Charlie is up to 65. That is without any food since the HC ~30 minutes ago. How should I proceed with food. His 2 hr preshot cut-off is coming up at the :45 (22 min).

I would feed some LC and test in an hour. If you can also get an +11.5 and post here to determine if it is safe to shoot, that’d be good.

At +11.5, you will have 1.5 hrs without food to see if Charlie is staying up without the extra carbs.

Just did +10.25 and he's still on the way up. I'm so lucky that he's such a chill dude that I can test just about as much as I need to.

You should be okay to shoot the full dose. You may need to monitor some tonight or he may bounce. I can't stay on with you. I have to get some sleep for work tomorrow. If you shoot, you'll want to get a +1 and a +2.
