PJ party yesterday

Yep, we had a bit of a PJ party here last night. Zener and I took a nap on the floor and got a 112 at +6 and went to bed. Tillie definitely took advantage. Every time Zener got tested, he wanted to eat at his picnic table so Tillie would get out of her heated little house and go check on Rodent TV. :lol: :lol: There was a lot of action out there last night. One time Zener tore across the yard because he saw something. He sure is an enthusiastic hunter if not very effective. :lol: :lol:

Nice BG this morning too. Yay!!! Appy is ok. He got a little bit bigger crumb of cypro, still very tiny. About twice the size of this period.

OT: All is going well in AL, except the food is a bit sketchy. Anne comes home on Sunday.

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans. Sending comfort vines to Violet as she mourns the sudden passing of Garland. No kitty ever had a better bean. TGIF!

I decided to bring Tillie to the vet because she's acting pretty punk this morning and there wasn't any pee in the litter box this morning. The nurse checked her bladder and it's not full but we are coming back later to see the vet. Tillie will be thrilled with that.

I hope Tillie's vet visit goes better than expected and every thing is fine and she's just moody or something.

Well, now there's that bounce. Turn it around, Zener. Glad his appy is pretty good. Sorry Tillie is feeling punk. Maybe too much action on rodent TV, with no results. Hope sh'e ok. Anne has been gone a long time this time, too bad about the food.

Hi Liz: I hope everything is OK with Tillie. Perhaps last night tired her out. With all that exercise she didn't feel the need to pee?

They are going to give her fluids and I'm going to give her Cerenia, 8 mg tonight, then 4 mg for a couple of days. The urine sample results will be back tomorrow and they will call. The vet thinks it could just be the AB plus stress of Anne being gone. I'll be watching her like a hawk!

I hope the cerenia helps her to feel better.

I gave her 6 mg Cerenia. The vet doesn't realize I can do math. Tillie ate a bit when we got home, about 0.7 oz. She squatted out in the yard but didn't pee. I don't like that. nailbite_smile

I hope Tillie feels better soon.

Please keep an eye on the peeing. Most females don't get blockages, but it's possible.

I just called the vets office. They said the bladder was moderately full when they drew up the urine sample but I think that's because she hadn't eat much in the past day. Now she's got fluids and feeling better. She ate some food and some freeze dried chicken. They said to keep her inside to monitor how much she pees and they will get back to me after talking to the vet.

Did you ask how often she should be peeing, given the fluids, so that you have a baseline?
I think cats pee every 8 hours or so, so maybe the pee at the vet's office will last her for a while.

Vet said she probably doesn't have enough fluid in her bladder yet but the UTI makes her feel like she needs to pee. I'm going to monitor tonight and if she hasn't produced anything during the night then I'll call in the morning. So i have to keep her inside. No rodent TV tonight! Zener is feeling smug. Thank you for all of the good wishes for our girl. They are much appreciated. I don't think I would have been so diligent if I hadn't just read what happened to Garland.

U-G-L-Y. I shot 30 mins early. Appy is good. Tillie is on her purple cat pillow, where she goes when she doesn't feel well. :sad:

Paws crossed for plenty of pee from Tillie - mega vines are on the way. More ropes will be on the same truck. Darn full moon!

I was talking to Anne and Tillie thought that would be a good time to use the LB. It looked like there were THREE
Tillie pee pods in the box. I'm not sure when she did all of those but I sure am glad. :-D :-D :-D She also just ate a couple of bowls of food. Thank you for all of your good wishes for our girl. They helped! Now to get Zener's BG down...

Great news on the triple-pee, Liz!

Zener was just being considerate since he knew you were worried about TIllie. Now he can start his slide...
