Good Morning LL! What a great surf for Tess the last 2 days, paws crossed for a short bounce. Food was a bit of a struggle but we eventually got enough in her………… I-) I-) I-) :oops: I fell asleep while posting. Anyway, I'm going to try out a few more foods, including FELIDAE Grain Free pureELEMENTS , 6.7% carbs and Phosphorus, 210 mg/100kcals .

WCR All 5 Ps, Clean Plate Club ( :-D :-D :-D she seems to like the EVO now, I hope it lasts)

Hi guys .. beautiful cycle for sure! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a short bounce, even though right now tess is headed the wrong way! ohmygod_smile Come back down silly kitty!

Incredible cycles for Tess!! Ok lovely girl....short bounce and back to the 60s with you!!!

Ann: I meant to get back on your condo yesterday and it was just OBEs. Anyway, while I was at the vet with Tobey and we were waiting for the bupe to take effect, I had a very interesting conversation with the vet, Dr. W (not the surgical vet...my kitties won't see her again). Dr. W. took care of Teddi and I really, really, really like her. She is very smart and informed and really seems to know more about managing FD than any of the other vets with whom I've spoken. Anyway, we were discussing Gracie and I asked her about FDs and USG. She said that for a regulated FD who is not spilling sugar into the urine and has no other infections (UTI, pyelonephritis, etc) and no renal insufficiency, the USG should be normal. She said just because a kitty has diabetes, it does not mean that the USG should be low. If the kitty is spilling glucose, the urine will be more dilute (the USG low). But she would not say that FD=low USG for a healthy, regulated kitty with no other underlying conditions.

What a wonderful day for Tess yesterday! All that green. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: And - YAY! It doesn't look like she will bounce too high. Right Tess? You came back down, right?

Hope your day was good - and good luck with your food research. You will have to post what you find.

ann, if you click on the link to alex's ss and then click on the tab at the top that says "Low Carb-Lower Phosph Foods" you'll find a list of some lower phosph foods alex likes. it's not a complete list by any means, but you might find some there that tess might like. i've also been combining some of these foods in order to lower both carbs and phosph (Combo Meals tab) and to offer a little variety.
