WOO HOO!!!! IT IS FRIDAY FURDAY! :-D :-D :-D I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. We did well here. It was somewhat cloudy when we headed on out, but no rains so no complaints! By the time we reached the river it was all sun, and blue skies, and somewhat warm temps. We traveled on HWY 2, which runs parallel to the Skykomish River for a while, and also a main RR line for some distance too. Nicholas was so thrilled that he saw 2 trains this trip. That was cool. LOL: Once again William slept through that part... We were off to the Skykomish River yesterday again, per request of one little boy who loves going... here is what I wrote in last nights post: "HI everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Our weather has been rather nice. Fog per the norm, burned off by the time we hit the road today. It was really nice over by Index and Gold Bar - sunny skies, and not too cold either. I so love these sunny fall days. We went on a road trip today - to the Skykomish River, two separate destinations. It was a very nice trip over there today. Nicholas picked what he wanted, though I think any river would have done today. He did want to see the fish, so Index it was, as that is the spot that I know where he can get up real close, be in the river with the fish. There are still a few running there, most were already dead on the banks. Loved the aroma - . Funny - he was just as fascinated by eh dead ones as the live ones. He was able to watch one Chinook make an impressive run through the area we were in. Nice time there - sunny skies, and warm enough. We headed on down to the Big Eddy spot by Gold Bar after lunch #1, as that spot is a good spot for him. Lots to do, sand, wade-able water, trains, rocks and sticks, etc etc etc. Like last week we could have sent the afternoon there. This spot too had there share of expired fish. He got very good at finding the ones buried in the sand, with only a fin, or head or whatever sticking out. fun! William did well. He was a little fussy at Index, but attributable to being late with his lunch. ;-) It was nice to be able to unpack him at Big Eddy, let him be it the sand for a bit, partake in lunch #2. :-D Good times for both boys." Normalcy in MusketeerVille!!   It was such a quiet day here yesterday for the kitties... Lola made sure she welcomed the boys, Bug made sure William was cool, and Elsa made herself scarce.  Lola has been relatively good of late. I haven't had to chase her away from the front door, or replant any plants. She still wants to ride the frig door, and take a shower with me, but I think Fall has entered the house, and mellowed her out some. oh sure.... every time I say that it's like it was the calm before the storm.... Lola? What's up girl? Sh is once again, like every morning, sitting on my lap, purring and sleeping... what a sweet kitty. ;-) Hmmmmm....

Have a great day everyone. It is another Nicholas and William day today. The weather should be good, so we will be out. duh.... maybe a local river park, or we may return to the Beckler River, as we haven't been there in some time. I will see how weather and temp patterns develop and then pick a spot. Who knows - Nicholas may have already decided where we are going! ;-) I will try and get to condos when I can.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Yep, you've tired me out again, Michelle. I'm glad you are all having such a wonderful time. I hope you have a great day at wherever Nicholas picks. I'm sure it'll be a pleasant surprise. :-D

Thanks for the early deliveries, Elsa! I'm actually awake this morning! Another fun day on the river. Sounds like your weather has been perfect!

Don't believe it! Lola is just lulling you into a sense of security! Then

I hope the weather cooperated and you found a fun place to go today. I think Lola is just keeping you on your toes. You never know what she'll do next.

Hi guys,
I hope you all had a grand adventure today on the Beckler River (or whatever river). I enjoyed my walks in Lake Placid while waiting for my car to be ready--some rain, some sun. You probably had similar weather.

Bug and Lola: make lots of Paw Prints Pizzas for the party tonight. Chef Rusty is counting on you. Fly that jet plane safely, Elsa. Don't let Maui talk you into doing too many loop de loops!

Have a great evening, Michelle,

Ella & Rusty

Hi everyone! I hope your day ahs been a good one. It was the last of my five days a week stint with the boys. Today we headed on out to two local parks: one a river park, the other a beach park. The day was a busy one for us, but wow, what fun. The weather was another gorgeous fall day here: sun after a very dense foggy morning, and maybe 50 tops. We did the Sammamish River at Bothell in the morning, somewhat in the fog, with not much sun there until we left about noon to head on over to the beach at Juanita Beach Park. Bothell was really great - from the kids stuff to river wading, all of it. He was out in the river trying to catch ducks. It is interesting though that he knows without my telling him how far he can safely go. Kid came out of that one a tad bit wet. Just good ole boy fun. I do not know of many kids that would want to be out in the river, in all that wet and fog and upper 40's and not be cold. He was having such a blast. We ate lunch on a park bench, William liked that too, and then headed to the car to warm up, plan adventure #2 to the beach. Juanita Beach was nice - lots of sun there. Little guy had a blast, tons of sand rolling, and digging himself in, and the inevitable ducks. Here he is on his belly, digging in the sand, tuning to the water, tossing this and that, over and over again. What fun! I wore them out today. Both crashed when I loaded them in the car at 4 to meet with their dad. Bet they sleep well tonight. I will post the Picassa link in tomorrow's condo.

Hi Ann - LOL on the "WHAM!" that is more than true.... she has proven it over and over again.... LOVE this cat! Yes, we have been very lucky this week with the weather - gorgeous fall days. We have had morning fog, but usually it dissipated before we get to the place chosen. Rivers have been great!
Auntie Ann! I am so glad you were awake this morning. I didn't ave to nudge you too much.... :-D

Hi Carla - THX, we did. It6 was a bit foggy in the morning, but the place we went to was OK with that. Afternoon at the beach park was sunny - woo hoo! I agree on Lola - I don't trust this complacency for a minute!

Hi Ella - THX on today. Nicholas asked for a park with a river today, so back to Bothell we went. it's a great park, and he can get to and in the river there. It has been a busy one, but ever so fun for him. and yes on the weather: no rains, but the morning was foggy and cloudy and cool. Afternoons was filled with sunshine.
Auntie Ella! You gits it! Bug and Lola have made TONS if pies!!! They are mega good too. I will do my best with the plane. I LUBS to fly! Tell Rusty we are all set to go. ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista
