10/18 Izzy pmps 66. +12.5 60, +12.75 60, +13 56.

So Izzy spent the day of the Vets today. Took her for a check up they kept her to give a couple enema's for constipation. I don't think she ate much or maybe wasn't fed? She was pretty hungry when we got home around 4:30. So I let her eat. It's 6:30 now (her normal shot time) and I was going to bump her shoot to 7 because of my stupid saturday work schedue. Just did a BG check and she is at 66. I thought eating to close to amps or pmps would elevate the BG not lower it?

Am I confused about that...I was expecting a higher number.

I will be starting her on BP medication also. Her BP if I recall correctly as between 180-200? Not overly high but high enough he felt starting her on 1/2 tab once a day would be good.

Since you don't have any test data due to Izzy being at the vet, you don't know what the effect of the food was. Izzy could have been lower than the 66. Do you have any flexibility with your AM shot time? I'm thinking that it would be good to stall for 30 min. so you know if the numbers are going up, down, or staying where they are.

I do have some leeway in the morning. I just did re-test and she is at 60, so going down and that was a +12.5.

I gather from your SS, you decided to skip. Izzy is just full of surprises!
