Yesterday

Good Morning All

Zeus is a bit confused this morning, we are going to the vet today, and he wants a full bladder so I have been keeping Zeus confined in the living room.... No LB. he left some presents overnight, and someone vomited a bit as well.

I also have his food in the living room, as well as Smokey's.... So he thinks he has scored on that front: hahaha youz guzs... I Getz fuds in this big room, and I Getz twooooo dishes. Bet you guyz is jealous

Well, we had higher numbers again yesterday, bouncing from the greens the night before I guess, but at least no reds yesterday. Happy for that. And i got to catch up on some sleep last night. :smile: we're starting out with a higher yellow, but hopefully it will come down today.

I am taking Zeus to work with me this morning so that I can make sure he doesn't go potty before our appt. he is not going to like that. Good thing it will only be an hour and a half.

Awww, Zeus is such a good boy. No accidents in the carrier or in my office, so we had a full bladder when we got to the vetties office. Urine sample showed glucose level of 500. and high PH, but no ketones

They also took a blood sample for a fructosamine test, but I just got a call that the sample hemalized? I don't know if I spelled it right or even what it is... something about the red blood cells bursting and the clear liquid was instead all red. So I have to bring him back on my lunch for another blood test.

The Vet said that Zeus has a slight heart murmur. He just told me that of my older cat Smokey not too long ago. Coincidence? Or is it his hearing that is off? Zeus was such a good boy during all of the tests and poking/prodding. Vet said he couldn't see anything else going on, looked at his teeth and gums. Said all looked good.

The only thing he suggested was to try shooting in the flank. I usually shoot near the shoulders alternating left and right currently.

Darn! Fur shot :evil: I tried the flank, it did not work well, and Zeus was not really happy with it either. I searched quickly for a demonstration, but didn't find much on YouTube. Will need to search more later.
