I'm thinking a test by +2 would let you know if your AMPS was a dropping number.

great minds think alike. I was planning on doing this as I need to run an errand and won't leave the house before I'm sure he's not dropping.. At 2 he's having a food spike so I'm not worried about leaving him for a short time.
