I do hope she levels this one off. I've got to teach this morning, and I've got the store by myself!

On Saturday, hubby ran out and bought some new cans of Instinct Chicken. You guessed it...now she's not digging it too much! I had to fight to keep her out of the civvies non-diabetic friendly kibble bowls (I so wish I could convince them...). She ultimately did eat plenty, but it took some convincing. Looks like we may have to try the Blue Wilderness this evening again, and maybe just keep rotating things to keep it interesting for her.

If it ain't one thing....

Come on up a little, Trixie...your bean has to work! I am having the same problem with Simon and food. I am now rotating between 4 different brands of food. Eventually, he may be on to me and will refuse all 4 brands, but hoping he keeps thinking he gets to try something new every few days! Have a wonderful day!

These picky kitties keep us guessing! Oh yeah, I like that kind, but not today!

I felt like I won the "food lottery" the other day...
at petsmart, I found 2 cases of the "pre-label change"
(and i suspect "ingredient change" as well, since my kids won't touch the new stuff) Friskies Turkey & Giblets...
snatched it up in a flash, and sure enuff...it's been greeted with gusto!

Very nice day for Miss T here. We did go with the BG/Blue Wilderness mix for dinner instead of the Instinct...hopefully that won't throw things off. She just seemed sooooo opposed to the Instinct at breakfast time today, although I can't say she was super-duper excited about dinner, either. I can tell she would LOVE for me to accidentally forget about a bowl of kibbles so she could just dive on in. Curse the day some dopey human invented food that was not appropriate for kitties, then made of them get addicted to it. Hey, if people can sue the tobacco companies, do you think we have a case against the kibble companies???? Hmmmm...maybe I've just found a way for all of us to pay for test strips for life :lol: !!!

very nice numbers for Trixie today :-D I tried instincts for Do Lou but he only licked it a bit and never touched it after that its a constant battle for me to find him foods he likes

Hi Amy, oh sorry about the NV Instincts chicken - was I the one who recommended it? Maggie is still loving it, but I'd like to get her another choice, so I may try BW. It will be interesting to see how Trixie likes it. Trixie is having a great cycle today.

I think I just pulled the Instinct off a list. She did like it at first, so I think it will just be a cyclical thing. More than that, I have a feeling there was a noticeable difference from the previous batch, because she was perfectly fine with it until hubby got the new cans on Saturday. She still ate it, but it was a bit of a struggle. I do plan on keeping it in the rotation, because her BGs do sooo nicely on it.

Thanks Amy. Gosh our cats are strange - this is my Vet's words this morning! I had something similar happen with Maggie with some Special Kitty food. There was a label added to the can "New", and whatever they added, Maggie would not eat it. They know best! :lol:
