Shylo threw up again very early this morning and has decided he doesn't want any breakfast at all. ): Not sure what the deal is... tried baby food and canned (both on its own and mixed) and he just doesn't seem to want anything. He ate some bonito flakes after I poked his ears and seemed very eager to munch on them, though. If this happens again I'm going to take him to the vet... my work week is just starting and I won't have another day off until Tuesday.

Decided not to shoot since he didn't eat even a little bit and I'll be gone all day today. Going to leave the food out for him when I go to work in the hopes he'll at least pick at it.

edit; Of course after I post he goes over and starts to eat a little bit... I'll have to see how much he eats and when he finishes to see if I can actually just shoot late or if it'll be too late for me later on.

emily, i know about his gall bladder issues, but has he been tested for pancreatitis? It's very common with diabetic cats and it can certainly throw off the appetite and make a cat feel yucky. Marje's primer on pancreatitis that I linked above has lots of good info. YOu might look there and see if you think that's what he's got going on.

Thanks for the link, Julie... I'll give it a read. I'd assume that the vet would have seen it in his bloodwork the last time he was there unless it's a recent development? It's certainly possible.

His appetite returned for dinner, he's munching right now and is doing a pretty good job of clearing through his bowl, at least! Hoping for no throwing up on my bed tonight. P:

it's not caught in regular blood work. you have to run a test specifically for it. The cat has to fast for 6 hours prior to the test (i scheduled it the appt at +11) and you want the spec fPl test that is either run by IDEXX or sent to Texas A & M. There is some discussion about this on Angela's Blackie's condo today that might be helpful for you.

Glad to hear he's eating tonight! WOOT!
