we got an earlier-than-normal start to our day. our son had the bright idea to sleep in a park last night, and apparently when he got too cold, or perhaps a cop rousted him out, he came home and went to bed, leaving the door open to the downstairs. so anya was scratching at our door and crying at 6am. makes the mama cranky. i put her back downstairs and went back to bed for another hour.

by then even punkin was howling outside our door. but we all survived the morning, got punkin tested, fed & shot. he purred and purred while the food was getting dished up. i'm happier with his amps coming down a bit. gotta admit i'm wondering when we're going to see action from the SRT. there was an initial decrease, but now we're back at the same 13.5u, although that's still 2units less per shot than it was when we went to CSU.

gorgeous fall day here - sunny and might get to 70 today. i'm heading back up on the roof to scrape more moss off the shingles. gotta keep the roof limping along til we're done paying kid tuition - 2.5 more years if possible.

I do hope you start seeing some results. His numbers have been fairly steady which is good but I know you want to see the amount of insulin come down. Has it been a month yet??

Good luck with getting the moss off the shingles and BE CAREFUL! I spent last fall in Vancouver and got a real appreciation of the damp and the havoc it wreaks on buildings. The rain forest was incredible. Punkin, let's see if you can come down a little more into the blues today. Just like your beautiful blue sky.

Punkin, you are doing well. Nice AMPS. Julie, I guess you have to get out the patience pants while Punkin decides when his dose can be lowered.
Was your son out all night in one of the Occupy Wall St. demonstrations? I was planning to check out the one in NYC this week--before car problems intervened--and hope to do it next week. As a veteran of many peace marches in the Vietnam era and beyond, I am curious to see first hand how young people today are organizing these events (very well, from what I've seen on TV).

So was the DS trying to see what it was like to be homeless? Goodness...I'd worry myself sick!! I hope you can start decreasing the dose soon, too. What happens if that never comes about? I guess you need a nice pair of patience pants right about now!!!

Hoping Punkin comes down in dose soon and lowers his numbers. What do the experts say about length of time this can take after treatment?

Nice and steady as she goes - how flat could a cycle be? :-D I think Punkin is looking great - YAY! I too hope you start to see results soon too.

Hi Julie, thanks for stopping by our condo earlier. Your poor DS trying out sleeping in the park; I bet it did get cold. Sounds like a busy morning there with Punkin and Anya and glad you were able to go back to sleep. I hope Punkin keeps coming down. Have a good night.
 
i managed to get through the day without getting on the roof. hopefully i'll get to it tomorrow. today i ended up working on making little bowls for birthday gifts for 3 friends from my quilting group. very fun - i'd seen the technique demonstrated at one of the quilt shows i went to a couple of weeks ago and decided to try it.

punkin - well who knows what's up with today's numbers. we'll try it all again tomorrow.

my son was just sleeping out because he wanted to watch the stars. he has been in 2 demonstrations for the Occupy Wall St and today he made a production of closing his accts at Bank of America. he lives life with a lot of gusto!

must be time to call it a night! good night!
