All the progress that that vet visit destroyed :banghead:

I bought a pet shaver so I can install her sensor next time and reduce her stress.
I also bought these mini capsules to give her gabapentin with it says they're made from bovine gelatin so Im thinking no carbs there right? Capsules

@tiffmaxee do I need to wait 5 days in her 0.1 dose? or can I increase to 0.5 on the 4th day (as of tomorrow)?
First of all if you need to increase it will be to .25. You are seeing bg in the low 50’s so there’s no room to increase. When will you be able to check the low 50’s with an ear prick. While the Libre often reads lower than a meter we can’t assume so.

Of course I meant 0.25, my bad. Ok Ill continue in 0.1, she seems to be more green lately thankfully. Ill try to prick her when I get 50s again, wish me luck its been impossible so far.

I must get her to the vet, and every time she goes is like ten steps backwards :banghead::banghead:
Every time I took Max to the vet he had a pancreatitis flare. One of my current cats had vomited in the carrier on the way home 3 times! I feel your pain. This could also be FLUTD if no symptoms of infection. The bg sure doesn’t reflect one.

This might help.
How to Treat FLUTD or a UTI
  • Always provide your cat with clean, fresh water.
  • Feed smaller, more frequent meals.
  • Add wet cat food to your pet's diet to help keep them hydrated.
  • Encourage your feline to drink as much as possible to help keep mineral buildup at bay and flush their urinary system.

Nola drinks about 2 tbsps of water with each meal (6 meals = 12 tbsps = 7.5 fl oz), I mix it with her EZ supplement.
She also has clean water that I change daily, Ill change it twice a day now. She only eats either wet canned food or homecooked full protein meals with the water and the EZ.
I can increase the water in each meal she seems to LOVE the EZ, so that could be a great way to increase her water intake, thanks for the info!!!

She hasnt peed blood again today yet, Im not sure if I should take her to the vet tomorrow or if that be worse, flying a bit blind here.

Treatment for FLUTC/UTIs include no meds?

I think it’s more stress induced and possibly inflammation. Could be cystitis too. I personally would not go to the vet yet, especially since no blood today. @Bron and Sheba (GA) knows more about this than I do. I’ve not experienced first hand. Now that I write it I probably will. Every cat I get develops a disease I’ve never experienced. :banghead: I’ve only had 5.

Don't manifest it! :p. Nola is on a great mood, very active, constant play yesterday (right after peeing blood) and very affectionate :bighug::bighug:

Definitely I would just watch and not rush to a vet. Maybe a one day/time thing. Didn’t sound sick to me.

It could be idiopathic cystitis

I used a felaway collar with success and tried to avoid stressful situations.
Depending where you live you can also use cartrophen ( in the US it’s called Adequan.) It is an anti inflammatory and great for the bladder wall. It is given in a series of injections once a week for a month and then maybe monthly depending on how well it is treating the issue. I used it for Sheba.
