10/17 Maddy AMBG 327 +6 395 - We're back

It looks like Maddy is back on insulin. Earlier this month her BG levels started going up and after a trip to the vet we found out she has a UTI. I was hoping that once the infection was handled her levels would go back down, but they haven't. Currently, I have her on 0.75 units of Lantus BID. Her BG levels have been going up as her dosage has increased, and I suspect that her insulin has lost some strength. It's still clear, but we have been using it for over three months. I got her new Lantus (SoloStar pens) today and her PM dose will come from the new stock.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can get her regulated quickly.

Poor maddy. You caught it early and no doubt will get it under control soon and hopefully she will be off the juice in the near future.

All things considered Maddy is in good spirits. Today is our first day of cooler weather in San Diego, and I've been fighting with her over a throw blanket for most of the afternoon. :lol:
