Took Jake back to the vet yesterday and she showed me how to give him SubQ fluids. She also gave me two IV bags and some needles (which are ****ing HUGE) for free so it was really nice of her! I tried to do it today but I hurt him and he ran away so I'm gonna try again tomorrow... poor baby. She wants me to change his food also to something lower protien higher fiber and low carb. She gave me some Canin stuff but it has rice flour in it (blah) so I need a good middle ground. Anyways... long few days.... have a good monday.

If your vet wants you to add fiber, I'd suggest sticking with the LC foods -- there may be some that are lower in protein -- and adding canned pumpkin to Jake's diet. Don't get pumpkin pie filling -- just plain pureed pumpkin. It helps to regulate many cats who need fiber.
