Last Night:
483 PMPS (TOR)
255 +3
154 +5

J.D. ate a couple bites of FF at AMPS, and then at +1 he ate 1/3 jar baby food beef with broth. We went for a walk at 2 and he ate a few bites of FF after that. He seems okay, just walking a little wobbly now and then, but he does that. He got his ears drops a few minutes ago.

I started looking at flights to California last night. I have 76,000 miles and can get economy coach tickets for 12,500 each way (so 25,000 round trip, per ticket). I am thinking of getting a seat (but they say he can't sit on the seat), one way, for J.D. That will give me extra room for my feet one way. I have to make sure the vet will give him a health certificate, first, I guess. And, I guess he will have to get a rabies vacination.

Nice sunny start for JD. Keep eating your fuds big guy. I hope you get the air travel figured out. That would be tough, but It would make you feel much better to have him with you. Have a great day Dyana!

Re: 10/17 J.D. AMPS 280, +2 265, +3.5 165

Ginger wanted to go down into the basement, so I took some laundry down there and she followed me. I picked a can of FF Savory Salmon and she raced half way back up the stairs and looked at me. I said "You want this?" "You want this?" as I held up the can, and she beat me back up the stairs (of course).

When I got upstairs, I opened the can and put 1/2 of it on a dish that I would normally serve to both cats to share. I then went to check on J.D. who was lounging out on the deck and picked him up and put him and the dish of food on the couch (the testing spot). J.D. wasn't hungry while laying outside, but when he saw or smelled the food, he was a squirmy kitty trying to get to the food before his test was done. In the mean time, Ginger was standing at her food bowl staring at me (like I forgot her, again). Once J.D.'s test was done, I let him go to eat his food, and put some in Ginger's bowl. J.D. ate almost all of that 1/2 can (2 normal meals for him).

He just used his new litter box and pooed and then peed and got lots of praise and some treats for being a good boy.

Another concern, is can my parents deal with an accident or two, at their house? And, my dad is having troubles driving, so I have to call him once again to make sure he still thinks he can make the 1 hour and 40 minutes drive from his house to the airport and then the same drive back to his house, each way.
Melissa, if J.D. can't go, I'm not going.

Hoping that everything goes smoothly for you, and he'll be able to sit with you on the seat instead of the cargo hold. He's coming down nicely, too. I'm glad to hear that he has a happy appy. Have a good day. :-D

Angela, he would never ride in the cargo hold. If I buy him a seat, that means I get two seats but he still has to ride under the seat in front of that empty seat. I actually can get one Business Class ticket which has more leg room for 25,000 one way, and get two Economy seats for J.D. and I for 25,000 each the other say. I wonder how I work that out. I don't even know how I "buy" a seat for J.D.

I'm glad J.D. is eating today. I hope you can work out the tickets for you and J.D.

Sounds like you have a good plan for traveling with JD. I hope it all works out, Dyana! You are the best momma bean :-D

Hi Dyana,
I hope you can get the travel details figured out. Is J.D. a good traveler in his carrier for such a long time? Awesome! Nice about the new litterbox being a success and about the happy appy.

Have a great evening,

Ella & Rusty

R is so tricky. I gave him 2 drops (zero line) of R at PMPS. That 259 was just short of +3.
Sometimes, I think I shouldn't use R. Sometimes, I go ARGH!

This dive could so easily set up another bounce.

J.D. just finished off 1/2 can of FF with a couple treats sunk in it to get him to finish it.

Let's see.
My dad says he can drive to pick us up at the airport and all.
United Airlines says I can buy a seat (with miles) for J.D. but it will still cost me $125.00 each way for him, anyway :?
United Airlines said the health certificate needs to be 30 days or less prior to travel.
United Airlines said I can use a letter of exemption from my vet for the rabies vacination.
The vet says the health certificate needs to be 10 days or less prior to departure.
The vet says he should get a rabies vacine just in case he gets out of his carrier and bites someone... this is J.D. :?
The vet says she will sign a health certificate and the current plan is to get both cats in for rabies shots and blood work for J.D. 10 days or less prior to departure.
My neighbor says she can pet sit for Ginger.
Now, I just have to buy the tickets. And finalize the days off with my boss.

I forgot about my home owners association meeting tonight  and got called by the property manager 15 minutes after starting time, to see if I was coming to the meeting. How embarrassing. At work I have pop up reminders.

Hi Dyana,
It seems you got your traveling with J.D. figured out.
So good of you to plan everything in details ahead of time.
I'm glad J.D.'s eating well today. :-D
