Garland is doing good. She still isnt eating as much as usual, but IS eating. So thats good. Her behavior seems fine. She plays, snoozes, meows LOL Ive been giving her 100cc SQ fluids everyday, so I think that is helping with the ketones. Maybe tomorrow they will be 0.0

The goal is to get them to 0.0

Meter Readings:

0 to 1.6 Are considered negative (although 1.6 is almost trace)
1.6 to 8.0 are trace to moderate
8.0 + are high ketones

Readings over the last 2 days:

Great job, Violet. I'm SO happy that her ketones are coming down!!! AWESOME!!

My DH, Mike, was studying all day yesterday for his check ride and when he was done, the first thing he said was "How are Garland's ketones today?". No wonder I love that man so much!!! He also
went through the list of other sick kitties including LInda's Teddy.

I know Garland knows how very, very lucky she is to have you as her mama. What a blessing the day you found each other.

I'm so glad Garland is getting better. I've been watching your condo, but didn't want to clutter up your space when you were looking for advice. You're doing a great job!

I've been checking in here often and am so glad to see Garland's numbers coming down and those ketones going negative.

Shes eating pretty good. Being picky, but eating a good amount. She tried to break open Connicks bag of dry food in the cabinet LOL (he eats wet and dry)

Shes behaving like her normal self.
