Good morning everyone. It is bright and sunny in the uk.

Remi seemd to do really well yesterday on 1unit but by the evening was bouncing

I don't expect great figures today and although I am home will try not to test him too much as a I need to save the strips for when he is getting lower.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Sarah

Well now I have looked at gabby's spreadsheet I am not so sure I am testing enough! That's a lot of info you have on that sheet.

I have tried to hold off today as remi's ears seem a little irritated by all the poking. Yesterday I thought his left it must be broken as he was holding it at such a weird angle :? But I left it alone and today it is back to its usual position.

I hope Remi will give you some good numbers today. Have a good day.

Remi was doing well but I think he is bouncing again. I guess I just have to hope that each day his bounce will lessen.

Hi Sarah,

Our son and his family live in Newcastle, and we were just talking about the syrup we used there, called golden syrup, in the tin with the top that you pry off. I am not certain, and it would be good to find an analysis of the glycemic index of the golden syrup; but it would likely be similar to Karo or to maple syrup or honey; in the same range, anyway.

It looks like remi has been quite responsive to insulin and is showing good cycles. That helps in beginning to understand his patterns. Then when you think you understand them, they change! So the cats become the teachers. Hopefully remi will be less bouncy than Clare.

When we started out, Clare's ears were quite irritated from all the poking. But her ears hardened and they "learned to bleed," and we humans learned a lot about where to poke and which lancets to use, etc. Now it's easier on everyone. Remi will get the connection between what you're doing and his feeling better, and will look forward to getting the treats.

Have a good night. Clare's bouncing tonight, too, so Remi has a dancing partner!

Georgette and Clare
