Recap 10/15

225 AMPS
242 +2
62 +7
42 +7.5
75 +8
85 +8.5
71 +8.25
70 +10
77 +11
83 +11.5
77 PMPS (5U)
107 +1
111 +2
211 +4
253 +7

Actually, I was expecting an even higher AMPS after the 42 yesterday afternoon. And the 253 at PMPS+7. Yup, Miss Polly, keep me dancing.

Better than the green yesterday, Miss Polly is flagging tail again. No run-arounds at testing time; she heads straightway to her spot. Better yet, she'll settle next to me on the couch for scritches. I think the girl is back.

Thanks to everyone for all the stop-bys yesterday. Wendy, Julie, I can't come close to thanking you two for sharing your experiences and advice. It's downright frightening to think where we'd be without your help...

I went with the 9.5, a one unit reduction this morning. Partly because she had come down from her +7 last night. Partly because we did a one-time 9.5 a while ago without a zoon. But mostly because it's taking this bean's brain a little while to get used to lower numbers. Polly's pancreas. My brain. We both need to get used to it.

Re: 10/16 Polly AMPS 229 (9.5)

Okay Polly, show mama that she made a great dose choice, okay? Not a bad amps at all! Have a nice day.

Re: 10/16 Polly AMPS 229 (9.5)+2=305 (aha!)+4=266

Yay, Polly! You earned a reducie! Now show your Mama what you can do with that! I'm glad you got yourself turned back around after that little food spike. How about a little blue today?

I'm so glad her tail is back up where it belongs and she's her usual happy self. Good luck with this new dose, Marilyn.

Fantastic news on the tail flags again. :-D
I think the girl is back.:thumbup
Barely pink, not a bad bounce. I notice that Polly's +2 yesterday was higher and didn't tell you what the cycle was going to end up like. I found the same, and discovered that a +3 was a better indicator for me, unless Neko started low blue which usually meant "heads up". I wonder if a +2.5 would work better as a indicator. If so, could you move shot times a little and get a +2.5 before leaving the house?

Good luck with the reduction. And yes, the size of reduction is part of learning what works for Polly at this stage of her dance. You may end up going up, or may not. One or twice on the downward spiral I gave Neko a back to back reduction to give myself a breather, with the intention of going back up, and didn't. I think Sandy calls it "going with the flow".

Re: 10/16 Polly AMPS 229 (9.5)+2=305 (aha!)+5=266+8=230

I find that a +2.5 or +3 give me more info on Max as well, most of the time. The +1 is rarely helpful but maybe that is because he gets a big food spike.

Re: 10/16 Polly AMPS 229 (9.5)+2=305 (aha!)+5=266+8=230

I'm so glad to read that "the girl is back!".... and she's working her way down, too. Nice work, Polly!

Thank you for the words of encouragement in Trix's condo, Marilyn...it really helps! Have a great evening!!

Nice (mostly) flat yellow cycle after those greens.

Thanks for the compliments! The kitties and I are all blushing from the kind words.

It's great to hear Polly is acting so good. I hope she clears the bounce soon.

Paws crossed for Polly to hold that reduction this time around  I agree that is a flat yellow cycle today, no zooming there. Have a nice evening Maryilyn

Flat yellow often mean action on the horizon. Work that juice Polly!

Re: 10/16 Polly AMPS 229 (9.5)+2=305 (aha!)+5=266+8=230 PMPS

I'm glad to hear that Polly is feeling more like herself!! I hope you both have a very nice night.

Re: 10/16 Polly AMPS 229 (9.5)+2=305 (aha!)+5=266+8=230 PMPS

interesting that Wendy liked the +3 better - I pretty much always got a +3 instead of a +2. Punkin never dove - i think the +2 is especially helpful if you think you might have low numbers early in the cycle, but that was rarely our situation, so I depended on the +3 to be my compass for the cycle.

I think you have great reasoning for your dose choice. These things are very individual, and you've gotta go with what works for you and Polly!

Great to hear she's feeling better today! WOOT for a high flying tail! :-D
