Morning ~O) ~O) looking forward to another strong brew from Mannie's Cafe, and also one of his dessert coffees, too! I may have done a partial fur shot last pm shot. Maggie was sleeping so soundly in her little red and white fleece bed that I gave the shot in her bed while she was in a zombie state. I had a difficult time getting a good grasp of some scruff. Normally, she sits on my lap, and I shoot. No more beddy shots! I hope to get her back in some blues today.

Some more good news for Detector Poo's report! dancing_cat dancing_cat Maggie had another poo! This would make it three days in a row. It's quite a large poop, too! She's been eating more lately. Increasing the Miralax definitely was key and also slightly increasing the Lactulose. The Gerber bf is where I sneak it in easily, and it only takes less than a tsp. bf, as I also add water. I know the Gerber bf isn't the best for her diabetes, but it definitely helps me get the Miralax in her. I can't be assured she'll get it in her food, as sometimes Mags just sucks the juices of the food. She will not eat the Beechnut! Mags also gets some Miralax + water in a syringe. If I can get her more regular, her bg's may improve.
It will reach 87 degrees today. Right now we have really heavy fog. I hope to get my flu shot today. I've been procrastinating. I'll fit in a walk, too. Have a nice day/

Bummer on the partial fur shot but she will bounce back nicely. Oh yay for poo 3 days in a row! That is a huge relief and great to hear. I bet she is feeling pretty good. Good luck with your flu shot. They are giving them at tbp next week so I will get mine then. Have a great day Ann!

So far a flat day, maybe due to fur shot last evening or .....

Thanks Melissa, yes, I think she does feel a whole lot better if she can poo every day or at least every other one.

And another prezzie? AWESOME! I think you have found the perfect mix of the prezzie meds stuff now. This is great - three days in a row now? I know on the BF, but also think that the amt is so small, and if it helps gets the meds in her, all of what she needs, I'd do it too.

bummer on the partial fur shot, but she will recover. I've tried different spots for Mannie, and have had similar issues. so no more here either. He gets his while he eats, in his spot. Sometimes I think he is so attuned to his fuds that he never notices that he received a shot.

Oh wow on the fog! I love fog! We have heavy rains his AM, some hail too. it is supposed to clear in a few, so I hope to get out then. Enjoy your walk today, and good luck with the flu shot.

Way to go Maggie!

Hope the flu shot goes well. I generally always get a little touch of it from the shot. Too low immunity I guess.

The blues are so much nicer than that yellow!

Thanks Rhiannon on the prezzies three days in a row! Now if we could just get her down to some blues!
I guess she's giving me permission to leave early, but I will get another check for the road.

Michelle, thanks on the prezzies. Yes, I usually can get a better grasp if Mags is on my lap. I think I finally do have her meds fine tuned. It took some time.

Hi Ann,
Sorry about the partial fur shot (I've been giving pretty good fur shots lately, too!). Maggie will recover. 87 degrees: that is HOT! (We never see it that hot, even in the height of summer.) Better get out your sunscreen when you take your walk. Good luck with the flu shot. I'm debating whether or not to get one (Edward always gets them, but I usually don't).

Enjoy your day, and don't drink too many of Mannie's coffee drinks!!

Great news on the Maggie poo front!!! Wow...three days in a row. Sounds like you are getting the treatment for her megacolon down. Now, Miss Maggie...time to see your blue/green numbers we all know you for.

Thanks for all the visits and good wishes on Maggie's prezzies. I ended up not getting the flu shot today. I went to the CVS Minute Clinic where I've gone before, but there were two ahead of me, and the one person ahead of me was a man visiting SD and very ill and coughing. He mentioned his hotel giving him this address. I would have had to sign in on the computer after him! I wished him well and went on my way. :-D

Thanks Marje, I am finally getting the Megacolon meds tweaked, and now I have to work on the food and getting her back to Maggie numbers.

Lisa & Leo, on Maggie giving up the poo all at once :lol: I was surprised at how much poo. Must be the new food.

Hi Ella & Rusty, hate those those fur shots, but they do happen unfortunately from time to time with us.
I hope Rusty enjoyed the beach today. Maggie had a new pink bikini special for today.

Barb & Checkers on the Lysol! :lol: Now why didn't I think to buy a can right there in CVS! I could have sprayed the computer before signing in! :lol: and also the area around him. Poor guy; I hope the nurse gave him some antibiotics if needed. Thanks on Maggie's meds. I don't know why it took me so long. It was tweaking the Miralax and Lactulose.

Carl & Bob, thanks and love the dancing poo emoticons! :lol: :lol: That is hilarious. If only Maggie knew how much fun we were having with her. She's such a good sport.

Listen mamabean, My Mags knows exactly what you're saying and doing. She prefers to turn her head and let you have your fun, because if you're happy, home is a wonderful place to be, and she luvs her bean. ~Leo

Well, looking better, but still yellow! We'll see how Mags does tonight and maybe a drop increase tomorrow. I still need to do more research o the lower phosphorus food.

I hate those fur shots. I hope Maggie starts showing you some blues and greens soon. That's wonderful on the prezzie 3 days in a row.

Poop in the LB?!?!?! YOU JUST WON THE LOTTERY!!!!!! (ok, maybe I'm the only one that gets that excited sometimes...but what a great feeling to scoop that schtuff out!) :-D Hope Miss Maggie comes down some more tonight!!!! Sleep well (and keep up the daily poops, Maggie!) ;-)
