WCR: All is good. She threw up before her AMPS test, though. White foam. I'm having a difficult time with trying to get her to finish both meals in the a.m. With the first one, I put her in the office like normal, waited about 5-10 minutes for her to eat, and about 10 minutes later, she walked away from it. By this time, I had to leave the office in order to get the others fed (Groucho, her remaining son, likes to meow at the closed office door). I left the office, closing the door behind me, went into the kitchen, fed the rest of them, including Bubba (still waiting on the results, and his appy's not really good, and he's still showing a mild amount of blood in his urine), waited on them to finish, and then went back into the office. She hadn't touched her food. No surprise there. I sat in the office with her, she'd nibble, and walk around. At around 6:30, I went back out to check on the others for contraband messes.. Nothing, thank goodness. Went back to the office, let her out, walked back to the kitchen with her bowl and placed it on the floor, where she went back to it. Then, I went out to feed my horse. Walked back into the house just in time for the 2nd feeding. Again, went back to the office with her food, and her, and left her there while I took care of the others. They finished, and I went back to the office again, and sat there while she ate (she didn't eat while the others ate). Again, waited for a good amount of time to pass before letting her out (checked for messes prior to), and we went back to the kitchen. It was almost 45 minutes before she finally finished her 2nd meal. I can't have this when I get a job. I'd be late all the time, which wouldn't be a good thing. I may have to scale her back to only 2 feedings/day if this keeps up. I may also have to scale back on the amount of food, too. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

I think I'm going to hold off on the experiment of feeding her later in the AMPS cycle. Yesterday's PMPS # was a total surprise, although a pleasant one. I'll keep that experiment in mind, though. Thank you.

MY WISH: For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For everyone to have great #s... For everyone to be OTJ.

Re: 10/16 Blackie AMPS 118

I'm sorry it's taking so long for Blackie to eat. I hope you can find a way to get her to eat when you put her food down. Sending prayers for Bubba. I hope his appy gets better and you get the results back today.

Re: 10/16 Blackie AMPS 118

Hi Angela,
Rusty is a grazer, too, and I just leave his food out for him to eat how and when he pleases. Of course, that would be difficult with all your kitties! This morning Amy tried sprinkling some FortiFlora on Trixie's food and she gobbled it up. Have you tried that approach? I hope you can find a good solution for when you want to go back to work.

In the meantime, have a fine day.

Eat your fuds, Blackie!! Nice AMPS.

Hi guys .. nice start blackie! I'm sorry it is taking blackie so long to eat her food .. mocha does the same exact thing .. she always has to go "walk about" after every bite .. it can be tiring and frustrating .. seems as though when she is just finishing up breakfast it's time for lunch! Thankfully I'm home with her all day so I can move the food around with me as needed but it's still a chore .. have a great day guys!

Re: 10/16 Blackie AMPS 118

Hi Angela,

I feel for you trying to get Blackie to eat in a decent amount of time. It is so difficult when you have multiple cats, and they all don't eat the same thing; or you have one who gobbles everyone's food if they get they chance, and you always have to keep an eye on them at feed time. And reading about your morning routine with all your babies is a lesson in multi-tasking! :-D :-D

My Cleo will sometimes do a white, spit throw up, if she has an empty stomach too long. I try to leave out some grazing food, but not a favorite one, so it will last!

Hope Blackie stays in nice numbers all day today!

Jane
