Yesterday's Condo

After morning bidness, Willie made a quick tear through the house chasing ghost mice, then it was 3 hours of btb cuddles. beautiful fall day here... thinking that housekeeping and raking leaves are on the schedule.

What a great cycle so far today! I'm with you on this weather...it just makes you want to be outside doesn't it (even if that means raking leaves :lol: ). All of my animals are sitting on the porch soaking up the fall breeze - pretty close to heaven I think ;-) ;-)

My goodness, the energy this boy has today! Only a short nap, and lots sprinting around the house!

As predicted, Willie was NOT a fan of the rake. I've got maybe 1/3 of the backyard done... but he did stay out to supervise. Took a break and he came over for pets in the sun. I think he was in kitty heaven. Once raking resumed, he sat in the sun along the fence, then moved to the shade on the patio. We're watching football on the sofa now, but we'll go out and finish the leaves in a bit.

Though, Willie's sweet little napping face is awfully inspirational.....

Got a response from a care.com petsitter that is promising. She's never done insulin, so I want to get her over this week to see how she does.

Willie's numbers were great today and it sounds like everything else today was too!! Good luck with the petsitter.

Another great pre-shot... looks like his LTS refresher did the trick!! He wasn't terribly enthusiastic about dinner, but with this low PS, I used some gravy from a Special Kitty pouch (I don't think they're even all that HC) as an enticement... did the trick!

After spending the afternoon raking, I'm now looking at using my lowes gift card for a leaf blower! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi Christie, what a great cycle for today. It seems like the lower numbers give Willie more energy and cuddles. I love when they are so playful and cuddly. I know with the weather and housecleaning. It's hard to get motivated when it's nice outside. Thanks so much for the liinks on the fuds in Mag's yesterday's condo. I placed it in my Favorites file. So far Mafs loves the NV Instinct pre grain. There are some Special Kitty wet with gravy, but I've never tried the pouches. I hope that gets Willie up some in his numbers. Have a nice day.

Wow, those are some green cycles, Mr. Willie. You are doing great! Glad you could help your bean with the yard work on such a beautiful day. Did your football team win?

Willie is snoozing after a very active day. My K-State Wildcats pulled out a road victory to go 6-0 to start the season (GO STATE!!). Made a trip to Lowes and Walmart during halftime and picked up some crazy cheap peonies (half a flat for $0.50!), a couple pumpkins, a 6 foot ladder and a leaf blower. I found last week, my Had found a cute pumpkin decorating idea in this month's All You, and I think it worked out pretty well. Combined with the clearanced mums and daisies (?) I found last weekend, and my front entry is a bit more presentable than the empty flower boxes with dead flowers from before:




Thinking maybe the pumpkins need mouths... maybe little "O" ones... easily done with a sharpie!

Wow, the front entry looks fabulous! The pumpkins (punkins?) are very cute. Almost as cute as Willie. Road victories are always good. Do you follow the women's basketball team? We are huge women's basketball fans and see K-State on TV once in a while.

I followed them more closely when they went on that national run several years back... Deb Patterson is a very solid coach! Was able to go to the Women's Regional Final in 2010 when it was here in KC at the Sprint Center. Was some amazing basketball! Just looked... first round games in Ames this year, with a regional in Des Moines, which is just 2 hours "up the road." Perhaps a road trip this spring for my sister, Willie and I?

Yes, they had a great run. Deb Patterson always has a good team. I love to go to the games. When Northern Arizona University made the NCAAs a few years ago (first and only time), they played in Tucson (4.5 hours) and I went down for that. They gave Baylor a decent game, especially considering that Baylor was the defending national champs. There were 2 first round sessions that day. I drove down in the early morning, got there for the first game and stayed until halftime of the fourth one. I was tired so I left for the hotel. Hated to miss a half, even so. :lol: :lol:
