Nothing unusual to report with Trix...appy is happy with minimal "lead MamaBean around the house till I find the right spot" activity today. Almost had a rough gelcap morning, but made it through. Snuggly as usual.

I'm extremely anxious today, though, because my parents are both down in the dumps. Since my Dad has stomach cancer, it is so hard to really determine if his symptoms are from the chemo or from the cancer itself, since both cause the same symptoms, the biggest of which right now is loss of appy. So far, loss of appy and extreme fatigue have happened at the same time for each chemo cycle, but that doesn't relieve any stress....it's the stress of not knowing whether or not the treatment is working. It's brutal. So I'm having a hard time focusing again...therefore, the lack of visits again.

I'm off today, so I need to try and catch up around the house (as usual). Have a great day, LL!

Hi Amy,

I'm so sorry that your dad is depressed. I hope the treatment will begin to be less scary. How much longer is the course of chemo? Sending lots of positive thoughts to your parents.

Trixie, lookin' good today! Take your gelcaps and make your mamabean happy!

Hugs, sceitches,

Ella & Rusty

Since my Dad is considered Stage 4 (lymph node involvement, but no mets to any other organs, at least as of the pre-chemo scans), the course of chemo is kind of an unknown. Docs have said surgery isn't an option; however, in my research I've seen lots of Stage 4 stomach cancer patients who HAVE had surgery, so I don't know why it's not an option. However, even if it were an option, I don't know that my Dad would go for it...it is a rough surgery.

Sending vines for your folks and hugs to you. I think the stress of not knowing what to expect really add to things. Maybe if the doctors can explain why they are not recommending surgery will ease some of the uncertainty.

Nice job Trixie. Great news on the gel cap.

More calming, healing, and soothing vines for your dad. I can only imagine the depression that goes along with all of it. ((((AMY)))))

I'm glad you didn't have too much trouble with the gelcap. Sending prayers to your family and hugs to you. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Trixie must sense how stressed you are and is trying to help in her own little sweet way by eating and taking her pills! What a good kitty! cat_pet_icon

I'm so sorry you are all going through a tough period. Hopefully your DF will start to come out of the chemo crash soon and you will all feel better.

Sending lots of prayers, vines and hugs. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
