AMBG 67 :D
just a bit low for me to shoot (I know, I am a chicken.... I feel more comfortable with it over 75) so I stalled for 15 mins and
AMPS 92 :D
I had given her a teaspoon of raw food to test the BSL so it could have been food influenced I guess.....but I felt better about shooting.:rolleyes:
She hasn't had a green preshot for a while so I am really happy about that.
She has held the reduction well and had several good cycles. Still dropping down into green for some of them but the force of the drop is much less....which is good!

Her cough seems to have resolved thank goodness. I haven't heard it for at least a day.

Sheba accidently bit me the other day........I had given her her gelcap and then she grabbed her chicken heart. She spat out the gelcap as she grabbed the heart and I very stupidly tried to get the heart out of her mouth and that is when she bit me. She did not mean to hurt me ...she doesn't bite or scratch....she was trying to keep the heart and I should have known better! Not deep but very close to the finger nail. I washed it and put cream on it, but it has become infected. I had some strong antibiotic cream in the frig which I keep for occasions like this and it is slowly resolving. Still a way to go but better than it was.

OT. A boy (11) in my 2 eldest DGD's class at school died the day before yesterday from a brain tumour he had been fighting for about 6 months. Poor little boy and how devastating for the family!!
Everyone was hoping it could be treated successfully. The school notified all the parents by email so they could tell their kids and then they had a gathering at the school and prayers for the boy and the family and had counsellors there for the kids. The girls were very upset about it as you can imagine, and needed to talk about it........It sure puts everything into perspective when something like this happens.

Some very low numbers for Sheba lately Bron, scary stuff very well handled. Sorry to hear about the accidental bite Sheba gave you, be very careful with that infection, you might need some stronger ABs.

Oh Bron, how terribly sad to read about the little boy, how on earth can you explain to your grandchildren that it was his time, heartbreaking. Prayers for his family and friends :bighug:

Way to shoot, Bron!!

Hope Sheba gives you a nice safe surf today ...especially as an "apology" for that bite! Do be very careful with that...Cat bites are the worst and can quickly get out of control and require IV antibiotics

Sorry to hear about the little boy at your DGD's school...death is such a hard thing to try to explain to young kids, especially when it's a young person. I'm glad to hear they're sending counselors to schools now to help kids deal with these kinds of things.

Great shooting. I hope Sheba keeps surfing for you. I hope your finger heals soon.

So sad about the little boy. Sending prayers for his family.

Must be something in the air. Max bit and scratched me last week when I tried to get rid of matts and cat litter in his paws. I used some of his Neosporin and fortunately no infection. I hope yours heals quickly.

That's so sad about the little boy.

I'm glad Sheba is back to good numbers. I'm nervous shooting that low too.

So she is back on the trampoline.....I am not at all surprised after the low numbers last night and then the low preshot.
She has been clearing the bounces fairly quickly so hope that is the case today.

Thanks Suki, Chris Elise and Carla for visiting.
Sorry you were bitten and scratched Elise. Glad it was OK. I tried the neosporin first but it was not enough to hold it.
@Chris & China
I am being careful with the bite. Many years ago I was bitten by one of my cats when I foolishly tried to break up a cat fight. It went through my thumb nail and I had a terrible time. It was my right hand and I could not use my thumb for 4 months. I couldn't hang out the washing , make kids sandwiches for school ....so many things.

This is the first time really that the girls have had someone close to them die. My mum died when the eldest was 4 but they were too young to really understand it all. The school is very good and are handling it well I think. They have been in close contact with the family all along and have kept the kids up to date with how he was when he wasn't at school. But this was unexpected and everyone, including the teachers of course, are so upset. The kids just want to talk about it.....I think to sort it all out in their minds. They are all handling it differently.

Vyktor's vet is missing a finger from a cat bite! It amazes me that he's willing to deal with Vyktor after that experience. Vyktor used to bite me and draw blood all the time, he did get me with his one fang during his last acupuncture session too. I have never had an infection from it. I think it's happened so often that I'm immune to his germs!
Hope your finger heals quickly and Sheba finds a slow slide in record time

Sending vines for your bite Bron, ouch! I know you are a nurse so I will spare you the cautionary lectures. My heart goes out for the boy's family, how terribly tragic. But you are correct, something like that puts things in perspective- life is short, precious and uncertain isn't it! I hope that your GK's are allowed and encouraged to grieve, at that young age they are very likely filled with fears and need a chance to express them and be reassured. Hugs to you all!

ETA: Sheba- come back down to earth now!

Sheba, get off that trampoline right now! It's very undignified for a lady such as yourself!

Ouch on the bite. I've gotten nipped accidentally a few times, but it's never broken the skin. Mostly I get puncture wounds from too-sharp claws. Sending healing vines for that finger.

So sad about the little boy. I lost an older sister when I was just 4, to a brain tumor, but I was too young to understand what was going on. I don't think I lost a peer until I was in high school. It's great that the kids are getting lots of support and being encouraged to talk about it.

@Tricia & Cinco @Tiger(GA) and Ruth
Oh Tricia that is so sad you lost a sister when you were a child. I feel so much for your parents. I think it is the worst possible thing that can happen to a parent.:bighug::bighug:
Yes the kids are being given a lot of support at school and at home. I am deliberately talking about it so that they can voice their fears/ concerns etc. They are all handling it differently. I can see one of the girls needs to talk more than the others.
