Yesterday's values:
AMBG 140, +4=150, +5=99, +7=90, +8.75=100
PMBG 173 (after a ~2 hour visit at the vets... I'm considering that a win since he was at 165 post vet while on insulin! ), +6= 198, +9=125


Shadow still isn't feeling up to par this AM. More soft stools overnight and no cuddling or AM wake up call. I think the vet visit took a lot out of him. :sad: Here's to a better day ahead.

The vet suspects he's suffering from colitis and is pretty uncomfortable. We will be adding Metamucil (NOT Miralax! I mistyped earlier.) to his food slowly over the next several days in the hope that it helps things settle down. She's also checking into adding Tylan to his regimen to get the bad bacteria under control. Poor little guy!

Looks like he's back into the nice greens again! Woot!

He's not feeling so hot again tonight. It's clear that when he's not feeling well, his levels spike a little. Maybe things will settle down once we have the colitis under control.

Poor Shadow, this should be a happy time w/ a trial. Just curious, why Miralax if he has soft stools? That's usually for constipation, it draws water into the stool.

OOPS!!! I meant Metamucil! He was on Miralax for so long that I typed that automatically. He doesn't seem to mind the small amount I'm giving him so far. We'll see if he stays that way. LOL

Poor Shadow. I hope he gets to feeling better soon. It's nice to see him get back to green. It's hard to celebrate a trial when he's not feeling well.
