Ripley is back to normal this morning (hiphiphooray!)
Last night she was feeling punk ~ perhaps because she missed me, or maybe she ate something outside, or the moon's current phase affected her, or because it was Monday (and she doesn't like the sounds of loud football coming from the TV), or simply because she's a cat. I vote for a little of all of the above. Whatever the reason(s), blip was short-lived.
Her appy is good, she's perky and wanting more treat decorations on her breakfast. (If I was more awake, I'd be doing cartwheels! :lol: ).

Thanks for all of your support last night (and dealing with my worries). And thanks for the late night visits and encouragement Rich, Marje, Mariko, and Wendy :-D . I appreciate the vines and hugs.

I'm glad Ripley is feeling better this morning. I always hate to see my kitties feel bad and not know why. I'm glad it was short-lived. Nice start this morning. I hope she slides down to green for you.

Maybe Ripley is still adjusting to the dosage changes you've had to deal with from changing syringes. Trix usually takes an extra long time adjusting to dose changes, whether it's up or down, so I always have to bust out my patience pants when I change her juice levels.

Seriously, though, I think you're right: her numbers have been pretty wacky and unpredictable since the switch.

I can hear the Patience vs. Dosecrease tug-of-war in my brain :roll: :lol:

I'm a crazy cat lady, but I do have my limits...however, I do know some people that I'm pretty sure would wear those! The really are a hoot.

Glad you are feeling better, Ripley. I think you missed your mommabean. Nice trip to the lagoon. Have a nice surf. It was so nice that you could visit with Marje and Rich and meet the infamous fur gang.

Something new just happened:
I just picked up Ripley (after insulin dose and fluids) to move her away from Marley's kibble; after I set her down near her food, I felt wetness at her insulin injection site ~ sure enough, it smelled like Lantus ohmygod_smile . I don't know how much came back out. Oh well. There's nothing I can do about it now.

She's happy and eating, and snuggled on my lap pre-t/f/s, as she usually does :-D

Bummer on the fur shot! I guess you really need those patience pants now :lol: Anyway, it's good that Ripley is feeling better. Nice that you could visit Marje and meet her fur gang.

Have a lovely evening and try not to fret too much about the fur shot. As you know, I'm very good at giving fur shots (and I always feel awful after I give one, even after years!)

Between recently switching syringes and her punk-blip last night, the Lantus leak may or may not be just another minor setback.
She's feeling good, and that's what counts :razz: .

I may need another reminder soon to put on those patience pants, though ~ I tend to get antsy :lol: :lol: :lol:

At least Ripley is cruising the green floor.

Way cool that you got to go visit Marje and her gang....
 
I'm do glad Ripley is doing better today.

Hope the Lantus smell was just it dripping off the syringe. Some times if you squeeze a few drops off, they slide down the outside of the barrel and then you smell them on the kitty.
