Re: 10/15 PurrFace AMPS 326 +2/197 +4/197
Hi John, I replied to your PM, it says sent but appears to be still in my outbox, hmm... :? . I paste it here too just in case
Happy to help if I can. I am no expert, still fairly new at this, however I have spent a LOT of time looking at a lot of spreadsheets here, and I am a (recovering) test fiend. The nadir is the lowest bg in the cycle and you may or may not happen to test at that time. The actual nadir can vary from day to day and will be affected by your feeding schedule too. For practical purposes, the nadir is the lowest observed number in the cycle that you get, at the times you happen to test. Many cats get nadirs around midcycle but I have seen just as many who were early or late cycle nadirs.
Looking at PurrFace's sheet Lantus data, I see observed nadirs varying from +2 to +11, quick rough tally shows more often in the early part of the cycle. You are getting the flatter Lantus curves, so the nadir will fall across a range of times. However it still looks to me like AM nadirs you have measured are most often in the +3 to +5 interval. Your PM data is skewed to when you have tests. You may want to do a week of getting more tests to get a more complete picture. You may want to take a look at Jasper's spreadsheet to see if you could pick out his nadir patterns. We free feed so no food spikes around PS. I am an engineer  so I also put a time graph in Jasper's profile if that is of interest.
