My meter keeps giving me an error of not enough blood when the tip has a huge drop on it. My cat is over me poking him. I'm getting enough blood for sure. Have no idea what to do. This entire ordeal is making me INSANE. I have no desire to give Abbott Labs anymore of my money. Are there any other manufacturers of libre type pieces of equipment? I'm so completely over all of this and so is my cat.

Any libre users on here that can help Sybil out???? I know there is a Facebook group about them. I've never used one but hopefully someone comes along to help you soon! My comment will bump your post to the top. You might add the question mark prefix & HELP on your subject line. Hang in there my friend :bighug::bighug::bighug:

@Sybil I just found this link on the Feline Diabetes Facebook page don't know if it will help or not but I'm trying. Christina
The libre is no longer working, if it ever did. This is his 4th one. 3 out of 4 were faulty. This post was regarding the new handheld meter I'm using. I figured out why I was getting the error code on this meter though. Thank you for responding. I appreciate you.

I did read through that FB post though. I guarantee vetbond was used every time these were applied. Thanks for the info. I won't be purchasing anymore. While extremely convenient, they are faulty and untrustworthy. Because of this, it could cause death. They have been sued many times. It is disturbing. And they refuse to refund my money.

Your welcome...wow I did not know that. My 2nd vet wanted to place one on Panzer before I started testing & I refused to let them because it said for human use only, it was when they first started using them on cats. I'm on my 3rd vet now, whom is amazed with my knowledge & my spreadsheet. I think I've actually taught him some stuff & he's fine with it, he is diabetic himself.
I'm glad you figured out the meter error, I get an error every now & again too. It happens & it's frustrating but at least the strips aren't $1 a piece like the pet meter strips. I started with a pet meter & quickly found out that they were breaking my wallet & switched to a human meter. I hope you have a good day & get some successful tests.

I don't want to alarm anyone that has one placed, but I do feel this information is worth sharing. The only one that did work, worked amazing and was very helpful. Unfortunately, 3 out of 4 didn't and each time one was faulty, that was another trip back to the vet with charges. They want to send me a new on for the fourth faulty one. I told them I didn't want them to send me, yet another one. They aren't reliable and to just refund my money. They refuse. I am sorry you've been through so many vets. It is stressful. I'm glad you have one you like now. Mine isn't really receptive to what I'm saying. Even when I tried to explain my niece that works there, that I won't be giving him insulin blindly, she said we've done this for year...I said a few more things and she said, well, you are going to do what you want...I said, no, I'm doing what is best for my cat. Everyone else has told me for weeks to put him down.

This morning was a bit rough, but I got one a little bit ago.

Thank you. I hope you have a good day also.
