It is a bust time of year for me! Extra hours at work and getting yard ready for winter.
Preface ANTI-JINX*** all body parts are crossed here.
Jones seems to be fully recovered from what ever happened to him. He is back to eating consistently, his RR is good and it looks like we are dialing into a good dose for this BG's. His follow up appointment is Oct 31st
CKD civvie Rain - got her results back. On physical exam, she is holding her own. She is about 8 years post CKD diagnoses. She is holding her weight, her coat is gorgeous, BP was normal and her appetite is pretty good. I have to rotate her food every now and again but she eats something almost every meal of the wet food as well she has her dry as some days that is all she will eat. She is roughly where she was before BW wise from 6 months ago - some up and some down.
BUN is 13.5 vs 15.3.
CREATINE is 241 vs 210. This is now over the range of 212.
Her phosphorus, potassium are within range and she still has trace proteins in the urine which hasn't changed in a couple of years. Her RBC's were good as well.
Copy of her lab history in case any one wants to take a look.

Vet's only recommendation was a ultrasound, a urine culture and sub q's. Oh and stay with the KD food - yeah well she won't always eat that...so umm, yeah, no. (Can't wait for my regular vet to get back from mat leave) She doesn't have a UTI - there is no clinical signs for that and I put off the ultrasound till next time (last one was a year and a half ago). Not sure if I should be asking for any other additional testing next time...like the SDMA and the protein/creatine urine ratio right from the beginning. I used to be able to get it all in one test but since it changed to VCA it is all piece mealed. Not sure how these vets are getting the information they need this way when it costs double to get the same information as before. Will try again with giving sub q's. She just is soooo wigggllly! I purchased the EZ IV...wish me luck.
Asthmatic Civvie Libby - she is now down to 1 puff at night and starting today will move to a puff every second day of the Flovent for 2 weeks. And eventually we will stop. No coughing spells or difficulty breathing since original diagnoses. I am hoping with winter coming that all those allergens are going to be put to rest for 4 months and she will not need anything for that time period. Then we will need to see what spring brings.
That said...busy day today getting all the home task completed as I took yesterday off as a relaxation day.
Pets for those that want them, hugs for those that need them.
