Hopefully these numbers mean Trix is starting to work Friday's reducie! I was starting to think it wasn't going to hold...we shall see.

Noah seems OK today, although he is definitely not completely himself. He got up at AMPS with everyone else, and asked for breffis, but he only ate a small amount (I didn't want him overdoing it anyway). He did keep it down. Then he asked for some pettings, then curled back up on the couch where he has been snoozing ever since. He looks quite relaxed and comfy.

I know they all feel my stress and anxiety...they're usually super duper needy, but today they're all being really quite mellow. I'm doing my best to give him some space and not hover...it's so hard!!! I'm off today so I can keep an eye on things, but I will do my best to keep my hovering at a distance!

Thank you, everyone, for your support. This place amazes me...you guys know how someone like me feels when one of my kitties isn't feeling well, and it is so wonderful to not feel alone.

Morning Amy:) I'm happy that Noah kept his food down and hope he continues to do so :-D It's so stressful when our fur babies aren't well, I get what you're saying with the hovering! Trix is surfin'...thank you, girl!

Noah had a couple more small rounds of food, roamed the house a bit, then resettled on the back of the couch. He definitely seems a bit mellow and/or spacey...I did read those were possible side effects of cerenia. He's usually pretty spastic...even yesterday, between barfing, he was his usual spunky self (which was kind of weird, but I was glad to see it.) Still trying to not hover, and not being too successful at it!!

If you hadn't thought about it, baby food is easy on an upset tummy.

I am sooooo sorry I missed that Noah wasn't feeling good. Healing vines for the sweet boy and big hugs for you Amy. I know it is hard not to hover. ((((HUGS))))

I'm SO glad to hear Noah is eating bits and keeping it down. It's awful to watch our babies not feeling well - I truly believe it's easier for us to handle if WE are sick.

I'm hoping he's just taking a bit of time till his tummy settles, so all he wants is small amounts for now.
The fact that he's eating is a good sign.

Nice surf for Trixie!!

I'm so glad Noah is keeping his food down today.
Maybe his body needs this rest to recover from whatever he had yesterday.
I too have a hard time keeping myself from hovering, but it's a really good strategy.
Seeing me worry seems to worry my cats more.
I tell myself, Let her be... She's sleeping it off... Let her be... She's sleeping it off....
Sending more vines to Noah.
I hope he'll be back to himself soon.

Trix is still hangin' in the lagoon.

So far so good with Noah keeping his food down today, but I'm still so nervous....the cerenia they gave him last night should be wearing off soon, so hopefully he'll be OK once that happens......

Nicely done, Trix! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: More vines for Noah and his beans. :-D Our vet sent us home with 4 Cerenia injections. The needles are like harpoons but it was better than taking Zener back every day. You can give it 5 days in a row, then every other day. There is also pill form, which only works if they are not vomiting.

I hope Noah keep improving and keeping food down, Amy. I know how hard it is not to hover, and to pretend you aren't watching them non-stop. Fingers and paws crossed, that whatever he had, has passed.

Trix is still surfing so nicely, and Noah seems to be doing much better this evening. Over the course of a couple hours, he has eaten almost all of his dinner with no vomiting or hint of distress. And, a few minutes ago, he was playing with a nanner, so he seems brighter, too. Hopefully we have turned the corner. Since it was the ER vet who gave Noah the first injection, I didn't even think to ask about more, given we've got lots of experience with giving shots (between Trix, and GA Mario's Adequan harpoons.). Next time (which hopefully there won't be a next time), I'll remember that. I took off tomorrow from work, too, so I can continue to "not" hover :roll: :lol: !
 
Hi, Amy, I've been checking in on Noah since he fell ill. I'm so glad he's doing better!! I hope he continues feeling good, even tomorrow while you aren't hovering... ;-)

just saw yesterday's post about Noah - i'm so glad he's better today, amy. nothing makes us worry like a little one sick. i really liked cerenia - it seemed like it always got punkin eating again. you can get it in pills, too.

i always wonder why people call the adequan syringes harpoons. i used the same insulin syringes for it.

trixie's looking fine today, too! enjoy your time with the little ones.

I'm glad Noah is better. I was going to tell you the same thing as Julie. You can get cerenia as a pill with a prescription through thrivingpets.com. You would give 1/4 tab sid.

Hope he continues to improve.
