Good Morning, Everyone,

Great pics posted in Rusty's condo last night--cinnamon cupcakes (obviously going to be on Tess's dessert menus) and Tobey's very own pet Javelinas. Thanks, guys. They cheered me up this morning!

Not much to cheer about with regard to Rusty's AMPS. I thought he would be on the down elevator, but he decided to go even higher. Maybe the up cycle will break today. We have to go to NY City next week and that will surely have an effect on Rusty's numbers, but it's hard to believe that they'll go higher than they are now (antijinx!). When we get back it will be time for some serious decisions.

Rain here this morning, and very mild. Totally uncharacteristic (the warm weather, not the rain!). Rusty had a good test and shot and enjoyed his breakfast. He went outdoors for 1 minute and then hurried back inside, quite damp! He got weighed this morning and is 16 lbs. 6 oz. (gained 1 oz. since last month; he got weighed before he got his coat wet!; I'm trying to get him slowly down to 16 lbs. More exercise is required!!)

Hi guys .. yeah, I know it's frustrating seeing our kitties higher then usual with no clue as to why .. I am hoping these numbers break for you today and rusty get's back down to his famous blues and greens .. Come on rusty, you can do it! Have a great weekend guys!

Sounds like warmer weather than usual on both coasts!

Hi Ella, maybe it's just a flare or bad spell with numbers. Maggie last week had a few days with higher than usual numbers, and just since Wednesday her numbers have improved. I didn't change anything, dose, etc., so no rhyme or reason. Have a nice day you three.

Hi again,
We just had a rousing game with "Big Bug", the cube, the "busy box," "Featherhead" under the scratcher, my sandals, MJ's butterfly on a wand. Rusty pounced, trapped, batted, etc. It was great to see him playing hard again. Now he's asleep in his cube.
Hopefully he'll continue to come down today, but I'm not holding my breath!

Hi again,
Pretty flat day. I decided to take Rusty's dose down a notch to see if it had been a mistake to raise it. Shot a fat 1.25/skinny 1/50. In reading posts in the Lev. Forum I see that drops and then bounces back up, often higher than before (they call them rebounds) can be caused by too much insulin. We'll give it a few days and see what happens. Rusty is fine other than the unaccustomed higher numbers he has been having.

Please remember that kitties sometimes lose their momentum and YOU NEED TO GO UP SO YOU CAN COME BACK DOWN....Hope any dose crease you make, brings Mannie down to nice numbers again..

I don't blame you for trying to go down first, Ella. I hope that is the solution and you can get him back to his Rusty numbers.

Tobey said he will be very brave just for you!!!

Keeping you in our thoughts....it's a bummer when you can't figure out what it means and what to do. I know you will. HUGS!!

Hi Ella - sorry for Rusty's higher than Rusty numbers. I wish I had an answer. I think trying to go on is worth a try. You'll know in a few days.

Nice onthe Rusty play. Mannie needs to do that - he just never has been into playing =- he'd rather sleep on top of everything. :lol: :lol:

NYC???? DID I READ NYC?!?!?!?!?!? Oh boy - a trip to the city!! Rusty - we got to plan!!! I can hear those hot dog carts calling my name already... ~~ Mannie
