Yesterday was a typical yellow day bouncette followed by Neko's flattest ever cycle - and in normal numbers. :cool:

Today is Turkey Day recovery. That meant btb for the beans and the cats flaked out in the sunshine in the solarium. I got to sleep in until the alarm for TFS. Neko was pretty mellow, I guess a flat night does that for you.

Last night Neko was going crazy for turkey. It was Thanksgiving Dinner here. When I've had family over before she's spent most of the time under the bed, but she was out socializing last night. I caught her cruising under the dining room table while we were eating and she hung around the living room rug when we were there after dinner. She got pets from family members and was overall way more social than I've seen her in a long time. Oh yes, I did give her a couple pieces of fresh roasted turkey breast. :lol: She was doing laps around the kitchen floor, looking for spillage. I was surprised this morning to see that the dish with gravy in it, still had a little on the corner. Neko could have very easily reached it and cleaned the bit I missed. That is one thing about an acrocat, you do learn to rinse or clean everything before leaving it on the counter.

Nice blues for Neko last night and this morning. I bet she loved the turkey yesterday. It's not surprising she was hanging around looking for spillage.

I'm glad everyone including Neko enjoyed the Thanksgiving dinner. :-D
Nice to hear she was social yesterday. I'm sure turkey helped, but her numbers have been really nice these days so maybe she's feeling good and extra friendly.
Good thing she didn't go for the gravy!!! :shock:

Ahhh, a solid blue kind of night and day. :-D Neko got some pieces of boiled turkey giblets for her +9 snack. She continues to give thanks for Thanksgiving and it's traditions.

@Carla - More blues. :-D I don't know why, but the cats I've had always seemed to prefer the smell of a roasting turkey to chicken.

@Mariko - I think Neko is feeling better in these lower numbers. Way back, she used to be more social, so it was great to see her out again. I just about had a heart attack when I saw the gravy on the dish this morning. :shock:

@Sam - Before Neko's SRT and when she was in higher numbers, she would have been on that gravy in a second!

@Liz - The blues keep coming. :-D Neko has always been friendly with my parents visiting, but not as much with the bigger crowd. My DB and family haven't seen her much. Thanksgiving was great! Urp. Leftovers tonight. :cool:

@Rhiannon - Turkey agrees with Neko.

Neko's number have really flatten out with a lot more blue and green.

happy holiday, wendy!

i keep telling myself it's not possible for my new orange kitten to be an acrocat - he's only 7 months old. but he drinks a lot of water and OHMYGOSH he eats more than punkin did! the vet laughed when i asked her if it was possible and said no - but i know what you mean about that appetite!
 
Neko is looking fabulous. One more thing for you to be thankful for on this holiday.

Looks like maybe another blue cycle. :-D I think she just found a cranberry on the floor of the L/R. I saw something dark on the floor under where the cranberry cheese had been, and she swooped in too fast. Oh well, now we get to see how many carbs in that. :roll:

@Rich - I think we might be one of the lucky ones with the Lev transition, she sure does seem a lot flatter.

@Josie - It was so nice to see my social kitty back again. :-D I think she was under the dining room table hoping for a spill. :lol:

@Julie - Neko has always had excellent appy. Which is why she blossomed to 15lbs at one point many years ago. She was down to a more reasonable number before Dx. Have you BG tested your kittens yet? :lol: Some kittens do love to eat. Neko is so much better on her food cravings now.

@Marje - Thanksgiving officially over except the leftovers. And turkey soup. :cool: I'll make that tomorrow and drive Neko crazy again. :lol: I am so thankful how much better Neko is now than two years ago or even one year ago.
