This is now cycle 7 of Moonie’s bounce. I know cats bounce and that bounces “typically” resolve in 6 cycles but I admit it’s driving me a bit crazy. Her bounce breaks tend to have a lot of fast downward momentum, so I’ve been working from home and not sleeping much.

I just hope today is the day she breaks her bounce and that nothing has really changed. I’m going to give it until Friday morning, and I imagine if we haven’t seen a bounce break by then, we may have to go up. I really hope we won’t have to do that.

I guess I’m just frustrated and impatient waiting for this bounce break. Moonie is enduring so many pokes and I’m sleep deprived.

On a slightly brighter note, I woke up yesterday to a skunk like smell. At first I thought Parker was having a lot of gas and decided to ignore it to be polite. But eventually the smell got so bad that I felt the need to investigate. And immediately I saw multiple little streaks of poop across the carpet and knew exactly what had happened .

My ragdoll princess Charlotte very rarely gets poop stuck on her butt, but when she does, she’ll scoot her little butt against the floor until the poop is wiped clean. And of course she picked the nicest rug we have in the house, because she’s a princess .

When I asked Charlotte if she was the culprit in question, she looked offended and walked off with her tail in the air.

Her butt was still stinky.

So I guess I got my answer.

Sorry to see that Moonie is still bouncing, I hope it will break soon and she gives you some nice greens again. But I feel your frustration

Her picture is gorgeous, I have a pitch black lady as well and if I try to take pictures of her I always just get a black dot somehow.

You think Her Majesty Charlotte was that? Look at that face, I’m sure the stinky butt appeared out of nowwhere and the poop on the carpet just came by itself!
But I know how that is when they do poop zig zags on the carpet, Regs and Plato are both good in that. One time Rob did bring a coworker home and guess what….

Yeah I’m getting pretty frustrated with this bounce . I can’t believe we got a brief flash of high greens before she’s bouncing again. I guess I’ll just have to wait it out, and even if we wanted to increase, we couldn’t until Friday anyway for monitoring. I just hope she doesn’t drop tomorrow since I have to be in the office for some large portion of the day .

Moonie is back to the moon again. Maybe I really should rename her Greenie! I’ve been breaking out a tsp here and there of HC out of desperation to stop her fast drops but I guess we were too late this time. We’ll keep trying, though I’m a little worried for tomorrow since I do have to be out of the home for at least 3 hours.

I had to laugh this morning that Princess found the nicest rug to wipe her butt with. She also likes to find nice handbags and clothes to vomit into if she has a hairball. She has exquisite taste

Sorry Connie and Parker. As a fellow servant of a bouncer, I feel ya. Eventually I just started focusing on prediction (so I could know better when to sleep) and how Bell is doing overall. It is still so annoying... Lately I've been playing a game of saving something "fun" to do on nights I think she is going low, then hitting the sack on nights she is bouncing. It at least gives me something to look forward to in either case. Usually my PMPS +3 decides which type of night I'm gonna have.

Also, here's my Bell poop story: Poop catch miracle. I'm sorry you weren't so lucky.

Omg I love that you called it in your story - that if her fur were an inch longer perhaps you wouldn’t have been so lucky. Charlotte’s fluffy fur is extremely beautiful and regal but the odds were stacked against the success of our operation.

I always think of you and Jo whenever I’m struggling with Moonie’s bounciness. Karamelle and Bell make Moonie look like a total amateur when it comes to bouncing - so I have so much respect for you both. I just hope some day I can get as good as you have in spotting patterns. For a long time, I relied on her +2 but her patterns feel like they’ve changed a bit.

Charlotte!! My goodness!! I commiserate with you all; Jude also has a stinky butt because Mr. Big Stuff can't get down there, past his almost 21 pound self, and clean the business end of things. Thankfully, we don't have carpet, just tile/hardwoods, but that still doesn't stop him from dragging his tushy; it just makes it easier to clean.
