HI All!! What a great day yesterday for Mannie - nice green cycle in the AM, with a nice blue cycle in the PM. maybe his internal organs are finally figuring this all out? I am off to go . YAY! Providing of course Mannie gives me a decent it's OK to go number at +1. OK Mannie? I have left him 7% food, just to keep him safe while I am gone. DH will make sure that he eats his +1, +2, +3, which is in the auto feeder.

Mannie is in a great mood this Morning - cuddly, alert, curious, patient with a bean who is in a rush to get all set before heading on out the door. Breffis #1 eaten with gusto - no crumbs left. Interior has been secured, nanner napping in progress while he waits for breffis #2.

Have a great day everyone! I hope to visit condos when I get home.

Hey kitties!! I am all alone today, and really want to see my friends. What up's up? we gotta do somethin'.... and thank you miss Ella for yesterday!! ~~ Mannie

Michelle...so awesome for you that you will get in a last hike. DH and I looked at your photos...oh the beauty!! Bet it's hard to come back down out of all that wonderous magnificence. Glad you got the chance today.

Mannie...I'll come over and keep you company. I loves chicken pot pies!!!!

Re: 10/14 Mannie AMPS 195, +1 255, +11 242

242 @ +11 - not too bad considering I left him with higher carb food, no clue when he ate his +9, and am so glad (!!!) that i came home to an average mellow yellow number. now just watch - he'll keep me up til the witching hour tonight. (anti-jinx! I hope he didn't read this). ANN: oh yes - won't be the first time I go hike, come home tired, and Mannie decides: yay - mom's home: action and dive.

wow - party at Mannie's today. :thumbup I come home to a house full of kitties, with chicken pot pies everywhere, catmint tea glasses everywhere, and the grill cooking the last of the lizards. Seems like they are having one heck of a time.

Thanks all for the good hike wishes - it was great. While we have rain at home , the central cascades and the town of Leavenworth had sun. I went up to two of the alpine lakes just outside of the town - about 8 miles total, maybe 1700 feet climb up. Such a great day: sunny, blue skies, 45, slight breeze, lake was wonderful, fall color and the larches were in full color. simply outstanding. (Marjorie - thanks on the photos: it is indeed hard to leave these places - the beauty there is beyond words)

And thanks to all for visiting Mannie while I was gone - very much appreciated.

And to all my buddies - today has been the best day. I am so glad that you guys came to stay with me today. I had such fun! Moonie - you and Copper make the best pot pies. YUMMMMMMMMMM!!!! I promise all your beans that I will get you home safely - roadster is ready to go. Love you guys! ~~ Mannie

Re: 10/14 Mannie AMPS 195, +1 255, +11 242

I'm so jealous....would love a hike. Any naked dudes today?  I found a picture of a naked hiker on line with a stuffed bunny hiding a personal place..I was going to put in in my post for you but thought it might be a bit overboard...WHAT??? I actually have boundaries??

Thanks for the ride home in the roadster, Mannie...love the way you drive. Now my belly is soooo fully of Moonie and Copper's pot pies..hope I can eat more dinner tonight if the beans make me

Re: 10/14 Mannie AMPS 195, PMPS 262

262 @ PMPS . OK Mannie, now let's get to work, and down you go. Mom's home now, and ready for whatever you have in store for this evening. :-D

Hi Marjorie! no - no naked hikers today.  Perhaps that was a once in a lifetime experience? Though Ella said she knows a guy that hikes naked routinely. beyond me... it was fun today, and I sure hated to come home, but home I am, and glad to be here.

Gracie! WOOT on my driving skills. I know on the pies - that Moonie sure can cook! My bean said I had to eat with my shot - it was all I could do to pretend I was hungry... :? See you later? Maybe the gang wants to go surfin' ~~ Mannie

Re: 10/14 Mannie AMPS 195, PMPS 262

Hey Mannie, You ate too many pot pies?? Surely not!!! Now, give your mamabean nice gentle numbers tonight so that she can put her feet up and relax after her hike. We are so glad that you and all Stu's friends got together yesterday at camp. You all are welcome anytime, even in the cold weather, since you all have fur coats. It is a magical place.
Hi Michelle, So happy to hear you had a great hike today. Yes, the larches are really lovely at this time of year (we call them tamaracks here; perhaps ours are a sub-species?). We had a glorious day on the water yesterday: the Cedar River Flow and Cedar River. Temp. was in the 40s, brilliant sunshine, pretty calm water with lovely reflections (although the fall color is past its peak; reds are gone, leaving my favorites: the golds and burnt-oranges). And all the kitties enjoyed the day at camp while we paddled and that just made my day.
Hope you have a nice, relaxing evening,
Ella

Re: 10/14 Mannie PMPS 262, +2 209

209 @ +2. and down we go... might want to gt a +3. Plans Mannie?

Hi Ella! I love the larches - I wonder on the tamaracks - must be in the same family then. They are just so pretty - vibrant yellow today. I wish I had more time today and could have been able to make the third lake in the series - it is another 2000 feet up and is well known for its larch display. just not enough time... Nice on your paddle - I think I have heard of the cedar river (??), not sure. (One of these days I will have to give paddling a shot...) I just love be out when the temps are in the 40's, and the sun is out - gosh it is just so great. and the water reflections - ah yes on the reflections... It is interesting here on the colors - some areas are past their prime, others are just starting. - and these areas aren't that far apart. weird. I do enjoy going to the Leavenworth and icicle area here - the best for fall color.

And yes with all the kitties at camp - so many came. Mannie had to borrow his uncles' bands' tour bus to get them all there. Camp has special memories for me, and for Mannie. it is indeed a magical place. He will be glad to know he can go back, and come and visit you and edward.

and yes on putting the feet up. Not much else planned - I wonder if Mannie will sign off on that.

Miss Ella? You are the bestest ever. thanks for camp. I am so happy to know that I can go back anytime. It is my favorite place. Lubs!! ~~ Mannie --- and uhhhhh yeah on the too many pot pies...

Re: 10/14 Mannie PMPS 262, +2 209, +3 117

117 @ +3. okkkkkkk - a 100 point drop in an hour. I fed 7% - not too sure that this is enough to slow the drop - guess we shall see. I will test again at +4

Re: 10/14 Mannie PMPS 262, +2 209, +3 117, +3.5 90

Mannie just wants company when he wants to stay up late.

(Your SS is missing the #s for the +2 -- either that or they are invisible)

Re: 10/14 Mannie PMPS 262, +2 209, +3 117, +3.5 90

Mannie, I'm 90 at +3.5 too! How cool is that? Let's surf. I got some gravy before. And my bean keeps putting me by that autofeeder. More fud! See you, Blackie

Michelle, I decided to just feed LC and see how low Blackie will go. Kind of practice for daytime at tbp. I have my alarms all ready to go, too.

Re: 10/14 Mannie PMPS 262, +2 209, +3 117, +3.5 90, +4 99

99 @ +4, and no food this time, doesn't look like he really needs it. We are hooping for a nice green surf...

Sienne - weird on the +2 numbers - it shows when I look at it. Anyways - I cleared it, and re-entered the data. If anyone could look for me and see if it now shows that would be great. and on the company?: so true - he comes and sits on my lap with that "you are not going anywhere" look.

Hi Ele - I think I probably should have done the LC @ +3.5 too - the 7% bumped him up. well it's only 9 points - guess we will see what he does at +4.5. And I hear you re: tbp. When i was working it was always such a case in the morning of "omg" and what to do. Mannie was home on his own from +1 until pmps. I had to rely on data collected during PM cycles to get a feel for what the day would bring based on morning numbers. and then I still worried.

Blackie! WHOA, that is so cool! We are the same!! Tess and I do that all the time. hmmmm - I wonder what she is tonight. i didn't get gravy... bummer. you are lucky. i like gravy - my bean let's me lick the spoon too. ok on the surf - grab your board and let's go! ~~ Mannie

Re: 10/14 Mannie PMPS 262, +2 209, +3.5 90, +4 99, +4.5 104

In answer to your question Michelle, yes I can see the 209 @ +2 on your SS.

Re: 10/14 Mannie PMPS 262, +2 209, +3.5 90, +4 99, +4.5 104

104 @ +4.5. looks like we have a blue/green surf. Nice Mannie! - good job!

Hi Celi - right you are. I might have to rethink this.  I bet it is awfully nice in Idaho now.

Thanks Anne. My SS froze the first time I entered it, had to fudge with it to get anything in that box. Anyways - fixed now, and thanks for letting me know.

Hey Binks - Buzz wants to have a fire in the firepit thing tomorrow. it should be really fun. You wanna come? ~~ Mannie

Re: 10/14 Mannie PMPS 262, +2 209, +3.5 90, +4 99, +4.5 104

Wooottttt...a blue night for all the babies!! Gotta check and see what Tess is doing!! Maybe we'll all get some sleepus tonight.

Re: 10/14 Mannie PMPS 262, +2 209, +3 117, +3.5 90, +4 99

And who didn't see this coming? Good job of putting on the brakes.

OK, Crazy Tree Lady taking over from Crazy Cat Lady. The American Larch (Larix laricina) is locally called Tamarack in the east and midwest. In the west the Lodgepole Pine (Pinus contorta) is also sometimes called Tamarack. Which is a good argument for using latin names. :-D Back to Crazy Cat Lady now.

Sheesh! Mom's at it again, -- Tess

ETA I thought I posted this half an hour ago. The amazing thing is I managed to backtrack and find it again!

ah yes - predicted once again! I should have known.

no kidding on the tree thing, crazy tree lady. I am impressed! truly! see there isn't a day that goes by where I don't learn something!

and I can't believe you found it, the post, again... omg, impressed even more. :-D

Hey Ann, thanks for the info. on larch/tamarack!! But it would be hard to be out in the field and talk to companions about the color of the Larix laricina!!
Ella
