We had CPC in our house this morning :) I brought home a case of FF Chicken Feast and it seems to be different than before. Instead of being pinkish, it's more brown, and instead of having a jelly like consistancy, it's more like the Chunky variety. Both cats licked their plates clean.

This morning, J.D. got into his litter box and turned and peed in the gravel, and got lots of praise and a couple treats.
While I was sleeping, he didn't do as well :? Maybe I should put a cut out poster of myself next to the litter box.

One more AB pill to go......Yay!

I hope everyone has a good day, and sending healing vines to all that need them.

Yay on the CPC this morning. That's great they both liked the food. Hopefully the next time you buy it, it will be the same consistency.

LOL on the picture Dyana!

Yippee on the CPC, I will have to retry the FF chicken. My guys were not big on it. I know what you mean when you say pinkish.

Have a great day.

Awww..J.D. sounds like Ripley - he enjoys the audience, and knows you'll praise him when you're there. Yay for CPC!!!

Yay for only one for AB pill. JD just wants to be told what a good job he is doing. Sweet boy. Have a great day Dyana!

Hi Dyana,
   about the cut out poster!
I'm so happy to hear the CPC news!!!

Re: 10/14 J.D. AMPS 336

Glad they enjoyed their fuds... I laughed about the performance when you were there to praise him...LOL
I know Shadow doesn't pee outside the box on purpose...but still, I wouldn't trust him with a picture of my face next to the LB just the same!!
These boys are too much!!

J.D. only has one dose left of his Clavamox, which I haven't given him yet, tonight.
I noticed this morning on our walk, that he stopped and acted like something was really itching him. He did the same thing last night.
After testing this morning he walked his his head tilted (which he often does) and when I rubbed his ear he really "got into trying to scratch it" but doesn't have the range of motion to do so. Tonight, I kind of rubbed his right ear, after I tested his left ear, and he went all "need to scratch that now, but can not reach it" to his right ear. I looked in his right ear and there was some black looking waxy stuff in there. I cleaned it with a paper towel and he seemed to feel a little better afterwards. Does Clavamox cause yeast stuff in the ears? Maybe, I shouldn't give him his last dose, tonight.

Dyana --

I couldn't find out much about side effects. There was nothing specific about yeast or ear issues. The most common reactions were diarrhea.

He is walking with his poor head tilted a bit. I wish I could put something in there to make him feel better.
I think tomorrow night, there is a farm vet open until 7:00pm, and I can take him there if it is still bothering him.
Mainly he just goes down a little bit on his right front side and then licks his right front paw, but can't quite get his paw up to his ear. I feel for him. itchy in the ear and can't scratch it.

I was doing a google search but I am not sure if these sources are accurate.
In most, yeast was not on the side effect list. In this one article,
What are the possible side effects of Clavamox: Contact your veterinarian immediately if your pet experiences diarrhea that is severe and lasts longer than 3 days. Stop giving Clavamox and seek emergency veterinary medical care in the event of an allergic reaction (shortness of breath; hives; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; rash; or fainting) Other less serious side effects such as mild diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or yeast or fungal infection may be more likely to occur. Continue to give Clavamox and notify your veterinarian if these symptoms occur. Talk to your veterinarian about any side effect that seems unusual or bothersome to your pet.

On another source I saw that ear yeast was rare in cats and is sometimes related to seasonal allergies.
