Good Afternoon Lantus Land...
Yesterday
What a busy morning for a slow pet sitting day!!!! Bonkers, bonkers, bonkers....
Attie on high number run....trying to get to the pink floor and his bean tellin' him.... :-Q
I think it is the Taste of the Wild food bumping him up so high...but we did get some Forti-stuff from the vet so....ya'll be comin' back on down there orange kitty.
Diabetic dog continues to be a challenge. Got snapped at today  . The daughter was not home so had to do the catch and release on my own.
. I was tempted to refund the client for having to depend on the daughter for assistance...now...uh-uh. and lesson learned on my behalf. It amazes me some days how dumb I can be.
PLUS....just picked up a lovely sweetheart from the shelter to foster. She has spent the last 8 weeks nursing kittens with a 22 caliper gunshot to her hind leg. Now, it has been her turn for some TLC. She had surgery to put in pins and wires to stabilize the leg and now is on 8 weeks cage rest in my foster room. She is super-duper sweet and friendly.
While picking her up...the vet tech informed me we are being overrun with ....diabetic cats. @-) @-) @-) . We now have 3 they are working to regulate and one they lost to hepatic lipidosis(tech says it was already too late by the time they got the cat. ). One foster is seriously considering keeping her foster cat and I do not have details on the other two!!! So in the last month that is 4 diabetic cats to land in our little shelter. There has got to be a better way to get word out that diabetes can be managed. As I told the tech if I can find Attie's Lantus for $100 for 5 pens...that is less than $20 per month. Even at US prices it is still cheaper than some of the other insulins vets often insist on.
Well my three kitters are now wondering what's going on in the foster room. They saw the dog crate go in, a case of food, a 25lb of kibble, and a 40lb bag of litter....curiosity is up! But little Bermuda....is on bed rest.
