? 10/14/2019 Blackie question on dose change

He's also not eating much the last few days. He's been on wet about 2 weeks now. I've tried warming , forti flora, Friskies, Fancy Feast. He'd been on dry all his life. ☹️ Just don't know what else to do.
 
Are you able to get any more tests during the cycles? Often the AM and PM pre-shots are the highest of the day...

Have you tried Dr. Elsey's? It's a very low carb dry - you could try to tempt him by mixing some of that with wet...or sprinkling it over the wet...just to get him used to the idea of that wet food...I know for some cats it's harder to transition than for others...

I was hoping perhaps on the weekend you might be able to get some additional tests...it would really help to know how low this dose is taking him. And since you work, I'm hesitant to recommend an increase...perhaps next time you're home for a couple of days so you could test more frequently? That might be a good time for an increase and extra monitoring. And the fact that he's not eating much..makes me feel even more conservative...perhaps others will chime in about that dose increase?
