Zoe's tortie-tude showed up big time last evening....she absolutley REFUSED to take her Clavamox....the pill got spit back out at least 8 times :shock: :roll: Finally.....I just mixed it into some of her favorite FF Elegant Medley for her snack and she ate about 90% of it.....but wow, what a struggle. This morning instead of trying to pill her - I just mixed it into some more Elegant Medley....took a lot of coaxing and tones of chicken dust, but 2.5 hours later...the bowl was licked clean. Sheesh!!! Luvs ya, my little tortie girl.....wouldn't have ya any other way! cat_pet_icon

Celi....you called it right....a happy tortie means a happy human! ;-)

At least when she's feeling spunky, you know she's feeling well!!! Champ is the champ at pretending to swallow a pill and then you see him spit it out 10 minutes later!!

Zoe's numbers are looking wonderful! Just a reminder -- for a cat that's come out of remission, you want to wait for 3 drops below 50 (or one below 40) for a reduction. Alternatively, if Zoe is in normal numbers for the majority of a week, that will also qualify for a dose reduction.

Hi guys .. I agree, zoe's numbers are looking wonderful! We thought our civvie twix was impossible to pill .. Not even a vet could get one down her .. she would foam the pill back up, whole :? Then last time when she needed AB's we got a pack of those greenie pill pockets and my goodness, she thought they were the greatest things EVER .. once a pill came right out of the pocket and she licked it up whole! Anyways, hope you guys have a great day!

but we have thus far survived... :shock: :o :?

I admire the heck out of folks who knew what they were getting and chose the Torties in spite of it all :lol:
