Hi folks,

I'm scared. I've been posting about Simmie fairly regularly, mostly about my screw-ups, our marathon summer weekend vacas, and his regulation difficulties. There is one thing I have always made very clear, in fact I joke about it in almost all of my postings...his appetite. Simmie has never met a crunchie, bug, or digestible entity that he didn't like and want to inhale. Well, I wanted to stay up tonight to check him at his nadir, since he has been bouncing so aggressively. I just did that and while he seems to be ok (but has not dropped the way he normally does) he displayed a really strange behavior...he's not eating his snacks. He has NEVER turned away from a snackie ever! These are nice snacks that I give to him just before, and after, his testing, When I say Simmie NEVER turns his eating apparatus away from a good snack, I really mean it. I am actually afraid to go to bed now. I am dumbfounded and frightened.

I know most of you would thing this is not a big deal but you have never witnessed Simmie's passion for food. I am going to try and give him very small amount of his Fancy Feast. I hope he eats it.

Hi Lydette.

Did Simmie eat the FF? How much has he eaten tonight? Could he just be full? It is possible, you know.

BTW. You don't have to start a brand new condo if you have a concern. You can just change the subject line on your condo from earlier today and post a reply at the end of the thread. You'll still get attention that way.

Unless you've perfected time travel, I think it's still October. You have 12/13 in your subject line.

Don't panic about Simmie's eating yet. Given it a day and see what's going on. People have "off" days and so do our kitties.

You guys...thanks for being 'here' for me last night. The idea that Simmie wouldn't eat a treat sent me into a ridiculous Tizzy...but in all his years he has never refused a treat. But you're right...anything is possible. He ate his FF just fine and then I remembered how he went off the Tiki food (I believe it was the texture and not the flavor) so even my big boy has 'taste'. :-D His own taste and it is limited but he can actually turn food down. Not so much bugs but food I guess.

I will remember the comments about the condos and while I am still working on time travel I believe I will double check my dates before posting during a panic attack :lol:
 
:smile: for eating the ff. I hope you have a normal day today. Sometimes if Max is high for some time or getting low for him he doesn't eat. If low I have to bring out the hc that he loves that I save for emergencies only.
 
Don't worry about posting during a panic attack...we've all been there/done that and totally understand. That's part of why we're here...to help with both the technical and emotional side of this thing!

I hope Simmie has decided he LUVS his treats again!
