Still not eating, although I did wake up to find her sitting in front of a bowl of food - no idea what she was doing, cuz she wasn't eating. Also - she licked each of the crunchy feline greenies out in a bowl for her (in the bathroom, cuz she keeps hanging out there) - she isn't chewing or swallowing them, she puts them in her mouth and lets them fall on the floor - then licks them. Then moves on to another one. Weird.

The mumbo-jumbo incantation from Roni apparently helped, because soon after Kasha offered up a little bit of a poo sacrifice to the powers that be (which apparently means me). It wasn't in the LB, Kasha's a little embarrassed about that - she needed a little help - and it wasn't much but a poo it was and it was beautiful. Ok - that's not exactly true, but you know what I mean.

Her belly feels very full - I hope it is is just this back up and it gradually works its way out. Gradually and gently. For both of our sakes.

Yesterday including vet update

No wonder she doesn't want to eat, poor full belly. I hope it clears up (and out) soon. Thinking of you two.

Krys...I was wondering...when you put your ear to Kasha's belly, can you hear it churn? Last year, around Halloween, Spot had some problems. He was meat loafing, wouldn't eat, when he tried to eat he would throw up. I took him to the vet and he was dx'd with Ileus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ileus Just a thought, you know.

I hope things get better

Thinking of you and sending good poo vines for Kasha. I hope her tummy feels better soon. (((Hugs to you Krys)))

Still abdominal distension. Her belly is round. I fed a smaller dinner, gave her meds and squids around dinner time.

Someone pooed - I thought it was her, but I'm not that sure. I thought she was behind the couch and unless she sneaked out, it may have been Blue. Wish I knew.

Since the vet diagnosed this as lack of motility caused probably by the chemo drugs, I don't know if that is different than ileus... The meds she's on are supposed to help get things moving. She is not vomiting, thus far, and there is at least something going on since she definitely had a little poo this morning. It seems like things are just really slow.

I heated up a couple of hairball treats in a little water and then mashed it - she lapped it up. The treats have some psyllium in them, so I was hoping a little fiber might help.

Edit: Poo watch 2010 - another little poo in the LB... This is what my life has become...

74? No idea what that is about. I opened a new vial of test strips, so maybe something is off. I'm guessing if anything is off - it's probably the old test strips. I hated them - they were some old style and it was very difficult to get the blood drop to draw into the strip.

 Krys, Yes, this is what our life has been reduced to...hoping for poo, chanting for poo, examining the poop and now the poo watch. I'm glad you got more and I hope this is a sign that things are moving a little better. Sending healing vines for Kasha and comfort vines to you.

Poo watch I love that term Krys  and I understand for we watch our babies for every change and you and Kasha have been thru so much lately hang in there sending poo and feel better vines to her and HUGS for the Bean
