Are you using pens or a vial of Lantus? If it's been 6 mos, on a vial, I'm wondering just how toasty your insulin is.

Your SS noted a new Lantus bottle so I am assuming you are using the vial. I use Lev myself...but I know the Lantus manufacturers say it is good for 28 day,s although other using Lantus have gotten a bit more time out of it than that. It varies though. And i do believe many folks are using the Lantus cartidges now instead of the vials. I am wondering about the potency of this vial you have bee using all this time...
You might expect that the new vial will pack quite a punch.....
I would think you should watch very carefully once you use the new stuff. What do you think?

Yes, we agree totally ! that's why we are waiting for the weekend, probably buy it tomorrow and start out on sat. while we are home.
We used the vial because his dose was 5 units at one time. but shooting 2.00-2.25 makes the vial last a long time. So we are learning as we go.
