Atticus is still doing well. I am watching her as she sleeps on top of her head. Such a weirdo. Evidently she got a little cool in the bedroom last night because we had the windows open enjoying the cool front. I woke up this morning with her "spooning" me which is not Atticus-like. She is not snuggly normally although she loves her rubs and pets. It takes a lot for her to snuggle up to me and I am probably the only person she halfway likes. Yes I said halfway. My hubby and I even chatted about this subject this morning. We don't think Atticus really likes any person. She just deals with me since I feed her and pet her the most. Oh well, I still love her to pieces and she just has to deal with that! :-D She always sleeps next to me, just not against me. Maybe she's getting senile? Secretly? I think she LOVES me and just won't admit it.

So, yesterday I was going through some mail for work and I had a stack of rubberbands at the end of the bed where Atticus was sitting and staring at them. As she reached her paw out to swat at it, I told her no (which I never have to scold her about anything). I told her no because she would have knocked them on the floor where my other kitty would have eaten them because I'm pretty sure Ariel has pika. She eats everything! Anyway, Atticus jumped back, put her paw down, scrunched up her face and stared at me through her slitted eyes and flat ears. Someone was a little irritated... ;-) Anyway, she walked all the way around the mail on the bed toward me after staring for about 30 seconds. I reached out to pet her thinking she was coming to "apologize". Oh no! That cat swatted me in the shoulder, threw her nose in the air and walked back to the rubberbands and began playing with them. What an attitude this girl has! :o  Of course I had to laugh. What else can you do? WOW! Guess who has the BOS??? You guessed it! Atticus!

Yay for day 3, Attie.
I think she loves you. Kitties do have to keep up appearances of being aloof, after all.
It is expected of them and it sounds like she too has had the proper upbringing. Has she been to boarding school?
I get the spooning type cuddling when she is cold.... The problem is the dog gets on the other side and they create a coccoon around me
I turn over a lot. The dog always gets pushed over, but not the cat. :-D

I'm sure you have nice large rubber bands not the little ones like they put on newspapers so this message is for the lurkers.
Rubber bands make awful toys for kitties. The little ones especially are dangerous. I've know a few kitties who have choked because
of them. They are just skinny enough to get caught on their tongues and once that happens, they have no choice but to swallow them.
I think I saw someone had a dental floss incident ( maybe it was Sienne)
I don't let Shadow have rubber bands , I always escort them promptly to a nice deep trashcan. She has found the larger ones and I let
her play with them for a short time but once that rubber starts disentegrating, they too become a choking hazard.
I prefer the plastic milk rings, and the thick hair bands for entertainment of that sort. this message was not paid for

Go Attie. It's all downhill from here!!

O my gosh, what an AWESOME cat!! And bean. Totally awesome bean too  I just love hearing about kitties being proper kitties, letting everyone know what`s what, and keeping things under control.

Oh, and btw

HAPPY DAY THREEEEEE!! YIPPEEEEE!!

Ha ha! Yes, she attended boarding school! It's so funny because my other kitty is so attentive to me and Atticus just stares at us like we're dumb all the time. Gotta love those kitties. And for the record, they were the big thick rubberbands, but I still don't like them being played with because Ariel will eat them. I have chased after that cat through the house with a balloon on a ribbon trailing behind her. I finally caught up to her and realized she had swallowed about a foot of the ribbon of which I had to delicately remove from her cute little spastic and not so still self. Scared the bejeebers out of me. Darn cats! I constantly have to kitty proof the house because of Ariel's "snacking" habits. She's worse than a drooler. The things I have seen in the kitty litter box make me cringe sometimes. I have permanently banned my kids from silly bandz, silly putty, small barbie shoes, small legos, anything on a string, and we do not use bows at Christmas. The things we do for our animals.

Congratulations Lori!
