Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty is starting out GREEN!! How great is that?! Let's hope he can hold it. This morning is our 5th cycle on a slightly skinny (ss in my spreadsheet) 1.50. I decided to gradually skinny Rusty's dose to see if too much insulin might be the cause of his erratic swings. Yesterday he bounced from the good day on Monday (10/10), but the bounce certainly seems to have cleared (antijinx). Anyway, he acts fine, has good appetite, 5 Ps every day. I want to do some more research on the Lev./Lantus question and more observation of Rusty before contacting Jill and Claudia for their opinions about switching him to Lantus (in this case it would be back to Lantus, since Rusty was on Lantus when he lived with Claudia).

That must have been some full moon party. The kitties had the barn rocking with their dancing and singing. And this morning the bus pulled out after a breakfast of cinnamon-blueberry pancakes. I mixed the batter and Rusty flipped the pancakes.

We had a good test, feed, shoot this morning, followed by a brushing/combing. Rusty is now chillaxin' on his perch. It looks like our string of fabulous Indian-Summer weather is coming to an end. Cloudy today with rain expected tonight and tomorrow, and then showers.

Many healing vines going out this morning to Garland, Leo, Rocket, Zoe, and to all other kitties in need. And special healing vines for Iorwen's mom.

Now, that's more like it! Good luck on the Lantus/Lev question! I'm sure you'll figure out what is best for Rusty! It's amazing to me how I can go through such a period of wonderful regulation with Willie and then it all seems to go to heck in the matter of a day or two, only to get on track again.... and wash, rinse repeat. But at least our boys are happy and healthy!

Hope you're able to make the rest of what sounds like a blechy Wednesday weather-wise!

WOOT!!! Don't that feel gooooooood! I think you have a good plan on seeing if the dose is too high. i might still contact Jill though. We're warmer than we have been all summer, it was gorgeous out on the patio last night w/ the full moon.

Rusty, I know on our numbers! Kewl!! Your singing was wonderful last night! Thank Aunti Ellabean for the pancakes, just the way to start the day. Chillaxin it is, but maybe after a nap. -- Tess

We all were out in the backyard for a while (Rusty patiently watching for critters; alive to every sound of leaves falling), then we came in for a test (76--still green) and a bite of lunch, and now Rusty is taking a nap on his "day bed" in the mud room.

I'm off to mow the "lawn" while Edward does some leaf raking.

Hi and beautiful cycle there for Rusty. Good luck on the decision to switch to Lev. Maggie was telling me how much she enjoyed the pancakes, her favorite breffifs. I was wondering what is a mud room; I'm thinking it's a cellar. Back east all the homes had a basement/cellar. Have a good nap Rusty.

Still cruising along in green!!! Ann, Rusty is on Lev. now, I'm considering switching to Lantus if his current erratic trends continue, just to see. A "mud room" is a small room off the back door where you can take off your muddy (or snowy) boots and leave them. We are so lucky to have it. Not all houses do.

The bounce has started. We'll see how high it goes! Back later. We have a broken water main in town and are under orders to boil water. This could last for several days. Not fun, but it could be worse.

I wonder if Rusty and Mannie planned this bouncing thing... he decided to do the same, though his aim was a tad bit higher than Rusty's... :roll: Time to come down boys!

What a lovely green morning cycle!!!! No bouncy Rusty!!! Time to get back down!!

One thing Ann and I have noticed is that sometimes "the girls" get a high mid-cycle number. Start low...go up up up...and then come back down. I wonder if that is due to too much insulin. I haven't studied Rusty's SS but it would be something to look at....

Tobey has been in a cinnamon blueberry pancake food coma all day!!! Now he's ready for more!
